I received this Rakiie Back Braces for Lower Back Pain in September 2024. I received the Large (Waist: 39.4"-45.3") version. The item I received matched the Amazon product page description and pictures. I have several different types of back braces and I prefer this style. This Rakiie back brace in particular is the most comfortable one I have tried so far for this type of brace. I like the little removable cushion in the back and it really adds to the comfort. I feel my lower back is very well supported when I am wearing this brace. There were no manufacturing defects in the brace I received and all the stitching was perfect. The included instructions were actually very clear and there were no typos or grammar mistakes which is very refreshing compared to instructions manuals I usually see which are full of these issues. To determine what the correct size of back brace to order, DO NOT go off your pants waist size. If you do you may end up with a brace that is too small. You need to take a measurement at the level of your belly button. For me that ended up being 44-inches which puts me pretty close to being in between the Large and X-Large sizes. I went with the Large size and the fit is perfect and I have about 2-3 inches more of room. Overall I think this back brace is excellent and I would recommend considering it if you are looking for a back brace like this.

I've dealt with cronic lower back pain from herniated discs for several years and have worn lumbar support belts/braces for at least the last two years. I have quite an assortment due to comfort and fit. The Rakiie Back Brace for Lower Back Pain has become my favorite! As long as I wear this brace, I don't feel as much pain after I do housework or gardening. I got the medium for the best fit for my body: female, 5' 7.5", 150 lbs. It has quality construction with a nice snug closure. The flexible alloy stays gives great support along with the center back piece that fits the lumbar curve. The velcro straps give you control to create as much compression as you like. I wear it over my clothes around the house to avoid any possible chafing. This belt is well-made and appears that it will be durable. I recommend this for anyone, whether you are currently experiencing pain yet or not, doing a lot of bending over or lifting. I'm also more than a little impressed that the manufacturer is involved in tree planting! If we all do our part ...

After a few too many “ouch” moments lifting things at work and dealing with annoying lower back pain, I figured it was time to give this back support belt a try. The first time I strapped it on, I was a little skeptical. Would this bulky thing really help? But the moment I tightened it around my lower back, I felt a huge difference. The 7 stays and the removable 3D support pad really did their thing—I instantly felt like my back was getting a supportive hug. And get this: it wasn’t stiff or uncomfortable at all! The material is soft and breathable, so I didn’t feel like I was wearing a medieval torture device (a big win in my book). I decided to put it to the test while lifting at work. This back brace works well. It can provide some immediate relief and, if nothing else, encourages good posture. It's not a 100% solution for me, but it's an inexpensive way to get some relief and doesn't have any side effects. I like the way it uses 2 different mechanisms to keep a snug fit. The main large overlapping piece gets things started and has a little flexibility. The secondary tabs on each side have more elasticity and cinch up as tight as you want it. This makes it a lot tighter and more effective than just the overlapping piece, which seems better for me. Also, the 2 secondary tabs can be quickly and discreetly released when sitting down. Surprisingly, the large, stiff braces across the back are not uncomfortable at all. The only difficulty I've encountered is clothing getting folded over or bunched up, which then creates some irritation when the brace is worn for longer times. But, this is minor compared to the relief from wearing the brace.

This product is very well made and very easy to use. It is really just line it up on your back, connect the big velcro flaps in the front, and then, you can adjust how much tighter/support you'd like by pulling on the two smaller straps and connecting them to the velcro to keep them secure. I recently tried another product that had major sizing issues--not this one! This is 100% true to size. I got an XL not knowing if it would be too big or two small, and I could have easily gone with a large based on their size guide and how well the XL fits. Really happy with this product, fantastic all around.
