The velcro sticks perfectly and you can adjust it tight if you want more support or looser if you just need a litle support. While this band does exactly what it suppose to do, that is a firm support to your wast and spine, it may impede breathing as well, however it's pretty minor and perhaps one could get used to it. Another issue is sweating, as the belt firmly adheres to your body and even it's designed to "breathe", long wear will induce uncomfortable sweating under the constricted areas.
