I think the brace works, but depending on the circumstances of the support needed I think is debatable. If you need a little support, I think it works great. I think if my back was in worse shape or condition this might not be the best brace. It is well made but not a top-quality product. I think the price is fair. If you need just enough support to remind yourself not to do stupid or excessive bending and lifting this will work for you. It is a good product but base your decision on how hurt you are what kind of support you need for your condition you're battling. Overall, for me it works fine and is comfortable enough to give me the support I need.

I had high hopes fot this lightweight but sturdy brace. Unfortunately, while being thin isn't bad, this manufacturer neglected to put any padding along the areas where the metal stays end on the back side, so when I tightened the brace, I immediately felt the metal ends of these bars poking my back (and they cannot be removed.) I would need to add padding for this brace to be wearable without pain from the ends of the metal stay bars. These are sharp! Also, the upper and lower edges of the back of the brace rolled up at the point the metal stays stop when I cinched the brace tight. This results in the stays digging into my skin, as they are at the edges of the brace once the taped edges roll up...aside from not maintaining a smooth fit on the body. A few tweaks, like padding along the bar-edges and a bit more of an edge on the top and bottom of tge back of the brace would make this more functional (and useable). As is this brace is not wearable, unless I'm aiming for sores on my back! As for fit, the sizing is accurate, if not a bit generous. My waist measures 39", and I was able to fasten this around my waist with 3+" of overlay. The secondary straps are also thoughtfully made, with thin velcro in the front so that you can confidently tighten these where you want, with room to attach these without overlapping. That is excellent- I wouldn't change those aspects a bit. However, this is the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE and unwearable brace I've tried, simply due to those bars jabbing into my lower back on the back side. I do NOT recommend this brace for that reason.

Purchased this back brace for lower back pain and support bending and it really did the job. I only wear it for a few hours a day as I do not want to be dependent upon it. It helps a lot. Velcro is very strong and side adjustments are fantastic.
