This lower back brace is far and away superior to one I have had for years (and that unfortunately no longer fits my expanded circumference -- either it shrank or, well, you get the idea). Anyway, this Sakima brace does require a bit of assembly if you want to use the reinforced attachment. And maybe I just was having a bad day but it was a bit confusing to figure out quite how to get it all together, even working from the instructions. But, ultimately I figured it out. Now, one thing I noticed in the instructions is that the sizing is based on the largest measurement around that part of the body, and not your waist size. In my case that largest measurement is at the belly. So the range of sizes the brace fits (per the listing) of 30-40 inches is at -- for me -- the belly. I have to say it was a bit of a tight fit, but I got it. That sizing detail is not noted anywhere in the product listing, but rather in the instructions after you get the item. Once all put together it wears comfortably, and does provide great lower back support. I happened to have had a strain in my back when this arrived, so it was good to be able to try it out when I had some actual discomfort in play. Of course, it didn't eliminate the strain itself, but it certainly took some of the stress off and lessened the discomfort. In summary, this is a great lower back brace, and can be adjusted by the pulls on either side. BUT, be sure to measure for size around the largest part of your body there -- from abdomen to lower back -- and make sure the one you order is large enough.

This is the first back brace I have ever received which required assembly (more than removing a velcro pad). I actually had to refer to the assembly instructions more than once in order to figure out how to fully complete assembling this item. Before going through that, I tried the brace without the extra parts. I was very surprised and impressed. I wasn't expecting that it was going to provide much support without the additional hard plastic inserts, but I was wrong. This is a supportive and adjustable brace which felt amazingly good when I tightened it. The fit was perfect, and the compression was strong. I felt like I had excellent support, particularly through the lower back. Then I decided to try it with all of the plastic inserts and velcro pads. As I previously mentioned, this is a bit of a project (it even provides disassembly instructions to give you and idea of what is involved). I finally achieved what I believed to be proper assembly and tried the brace on again. I was anticipating that the plastic plating would be uncomfortable, but, again, I was wrong. I'm not sure that I would want to wear it in the fully assembled mode for more than a couple hours, but I felt extremely supported while wearing the brace. The plastic pieces are curved in such a way that they formed to the natural curve of my spine. I think that most of the time I will be wearing this without the additional support (because even then it was pretty impressive), but I may be glad at some point in the future that I have the option of additional support. Overall, this is a great device which serves my purposes. 5 stars.

I like to do a lot of walking, well most of the times it’s my dogs walking me! But if I wear this when I go on my walk my back feels so much better afterwards. This can easily be concealed under a shirt or jacket. It does fit nice and just kind of hugs your back and waist.

I wasn't too sure how one of these would actually fare in terms of comfort or posture correction but I was completely shocked to find out actually how effective it actually is! My posture definitely feels elevated since my lower back feels like it's being braced up and at the same time aches are soothed since it feels like its stretching out your back for some tension relief. It still allows room to articulate and move around so you're not locked into a super uncomfortable position either which is a huge plus. Build quality is also relatively sturdy and don't see this breaking outside of the plastic bits that might crack if hit hard enough I suppose. The hold of the velcro is strong and wont fly off the body. I use this for roughly 30 minutes a day since I've gotten it and can say I feel somewhat refreshed after every little session! If you have any sort of lower back pain or have shrimp-like posture like myself then I highly recommend giving this a shot! Hope the insight helps, Cheers :^)

This is an excellent lumber brace for back pain. It featured with a pre-mold back support plate, a removable massage board, and two removable side plates. More usefully, the massage board can adjust to 6 positions according to your back. Beyond these, the brace has a wide belt with breathable fabric, 10’x14’ on the back, to keep the whole assembly in position. The first feeling for me is the back is well supported. There is also freedom to move in all directions. The reinforced back plate is very supportive, to keep my back straight. If I bend forward, I’ll feel a pressure from the back. It needs a little bit caution to put the elastic bands in the plate. Once assembled, it is very nice.

This holds your back stable and really takes the pressure off making it feel supported and relaxed. This one is a bit long for me since I am short waisted but it still works. It immediately relieved my back pain by hold everything in and stable. It works while sitting or standing to give you strength to get up and down and walk around with ease. If my abs and back muscles could do this, I’d never have back pain. It comes with a few different pieces to make it perfect for any situation. I wear it the simple way just as a brace with no additional piece but am happy to have the option. This fits well and makes you feel good quickly. This is a good buy!
