The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a train to put above my cupboards for Christmas, and with the auto reverse this was perfect. I thought I may miss not having the old looking steam engine, and was worried about the On30 scale, but it all turned out perfect. The trolley is super cute. The EZ track is great to work with. Note that one track intentionally comes with a gap/break in the rail (track B) - it is to be used as the last piece as it signals the trolley to reverse. All in all, super fun! ... show more

    • Holiday train for a small space.
I was thrilled to have actually received this item a day earlier than estimated! I immediately set it up to service our Christmas village. It is perfectly scaled for Dept. 56 type buildings. The set-up instructions are clear and the track, power pack and trolley are very easy to set-up. The trolley is beautifully decorated. It ran a little rough at first, but after less than 5 minutes running, the wheels had polished the track so it runs flawlessly even at low speeds. Bachmann offers a life-time warranty on defects in workmanship, so that is a nice piece of mind. Love the set, and plan to use it every year. ... show more

    • No reverse
Very easy to assemble. Once plugged in and running, it would only reverse in the shed and not at the end bumper bumper. Could not leave running. Always had to turn power off and on.

    • Niced set, just not reliable for the price
This is a nice set. Everyone was impressed with it when they saw it set up. It is the perfect size for a Christmas village and runs well. It is very attractive and easy to set up, though not a of the track pieces fit as cleanly as possible. Two issues to be aware of: The track doesn't always connect smoothly and that sometimes causes the trolley to derail when run at slower speeds. Also, the switch on the trolley barn seems very fragile and will probably not stand up to any but the lightest touch. It feels like it will break if you turn it too fast. I like the set I just wish it was built a bit more sturdily. Sometimes it works just fine and other times the lights on the trolley will not work or it will stop in the middle of a track before reaching the end. ... show more

    • Great train.
I have a small area for my Christmas village and wanted a train. This is perfect for that and I added some revering track to complete the look. The train runs smoothly once the track is assembled, I run my finger along the tracks to make sure I connected them properly and the surface is smooth. The car lights up and stops and goes at the end points. The scale works well with my village and if I want to switch to a OH scale train I can. Nice product, happy with my purchase. ... show more
