We purchased the parasol to protect our little guy from the sun. We live in a beach community and the sun is often quite intense even when it is cool out. The parasol attaches to the stroller the same way the car seat adapters do. This can also attach to the seat adapters if you have them in the early days with your baby. The construction is rather stout and the parasol seems small at first. However it does provide adequate coverage in most situations. It is also somewhat flexible at the connection to allow for some adjustability. I wouldn’t recommend it for super windy days, but it can handle your average sea-breeze very well. I like the idea of umbrella to keep the baby from the sun, but I wish it was bigger as you cannot always keep it at one angle and the sun still gets on the baby. Also I wish it was more versatile in terms of incline - that could help too.
