I purchased this diffuser as a replacement one for my current BaByliss hairdryer. The diffuser that came with it cracked overtime and I needed a new one and was hoping this fit the bill. Like other reviewer‘s mentioned, it’s pops off. It works fine when I’m bent over drying my hair (doesn’t always pop off), but if I’m standing straight up I have to hold it in place otherwise it launches itself across the bathroom. I use it to partially dry my hair (I have fine thin hair and it speeds up the drying process without damaging my hair) and then after I finish setting my hair with hairspray to lock my style in place. Also, the pegs on the diffuser are very hard and not flexible like my previous BaByliss diffuser that came with my hair dryer and the metal surface area heats up like *woah* so be careful and don’t mistakenly touch it I did. This diffuser fits my Babliss hairdryer well when not in use - not hot. Definitely helps control frizz on my curly hair. Once the hair dryer warms, and the diffuser expands, it tends to fall out.

    • Kept falling off but I discovered a hack!
This fit perfectly on my BaByliss hairdryer, but there was one problem -- the product kept falling off, which kind of ruined its purpose, as ideally with a diffuser you'll want to flip your head upside down, from side to side, etc. The diffuser worked fine otherwise, but if it kept falling off it was not useful...what was a girl to do? One night, I came up with the answer -- I had a bunch of Blu Tack lying around (mounting putty) from buying an excess in preparation for wall decoration. I proceeded to put a generous amount of Blu Tack around the inner rim of the diffuser in a ring formation, then stuck it on the hairdryer normally. Didn't fall off once after that! Since I only use the dryer to dry my curls/VERY rarely to prep my hair for straightening, I don't anticipate this being a problem, but I will say that it's obviously not convenient if you have to buy another product to use this properly! The only thing I would change is the depth of the bowl. I did end up buying the black orchid. However, I did not dislike this particular diffuser. I have purchased a lot of babyliss products ant they all have been good quality items.

    • I really like the theory of this device
I really like the theory of this device. I've been using a combination of products and scrunching and towels and my blow dryer in pretty much all possible combinations to create the kind of wavy, beachy hair that I wish I'd been born with (but would probably find difficult to work with if I actually had been). And this product really seemed like it'd be the solution for that. After all, my mom got it, and her hair looks AMAZING! (Not this exact one, we have different dryers, but something super similar, so I figured it wouldn't make a difference.) I'll admit that I've so far only used it twice since I got it several months to...wow...I guess like a year back, but with good reason. So the first time I used it (and maybe you can chock it up to user error and the fact that I almost never do anything elaborate with my hair so my skills are kind of non-existent), the result was utter failure. My hair was just voluminous and sort of wavy and not in a good way. It kind of looked like maybe I'd stuck my hand in a light socket or come out of an 80s time portal. And that's the primary reason I've only used it twice so far. My second attempt, I opted not to use the scrunching product and I actually ended up liking the results. I got a lot more wavy and volume than just scrunching my wet hair and letting it hang dry, but it's also definitely more work. You can take that as you will. I'll probably keep using it from time to time, hopefully with better results. Maybe I'll ask my mom exactly how she does it... ... show more

    • Wouldn’t stay on
Would have been great if it would have stayed on. It fell off 7 times while blow drying my hair. It’s literally the same brand of blow dryer and the reason I bought it but doesn’t work. Definitely disappointed.

    • Does not fit well
I own a BaBylissPRO hairdryer, that's the reason I bought this. It falls off constantly. I literally have to hold it on at all times or tie/rig it up so it stays on without holding it. It drys great and fast. It looks great, not cheap or generic.
