Just because you have fine hair you do NOT NEED low heat! It’s NOT DELICATE —ITS STUBBORN!! The opposite is true- you need to burn it on in! This long (and beautiful) barrel gives my sections of hair plenty of room to wrap my limp but long locks around it! I also found it easier to twist and ratchet the barrel around because it is so long! Beach waves for me! Soooo hot that it works great and the heat up is almost instant! I used this item for the first time today, and I was impressed because it was great for curling hair extensions. The negative side of that is that it gets REALLY hot (I didn’t even need to use the highest temperature setting), so you’ll need to be very careful when using it on your natural hair. A good heat protector will help prevent damage. I wouldn’t recommend using it on your own hair without a protectant because it’s HOT. It’s very long, which is great for extensions or naturally long hair. The 1in provided beautiful curls. Also, please note that this curler does NOT have an auto shut off feature. I love this curling iron. I used a picture after 5 hours of dancing because my curls actually stayed and I don’t feel like my hair gets fried when I use it. Theres multiple heat settings and you can’t accidentally turn it off or change the setting like a lot of hot tools.
