I have thin, frizzy, colored hair and lots of it! This styling tool, along with a minimal amount of baby detangler product, cleans up my curls and gives me a professional look from my own bathroom. And the length of the cord makes it easy when I travel and the outlet is not near the mirror. I got this for my daughter for Christmas and now it is not returnable. It is top heavy and not easy to use on the back of her hair. Her hair would not curl properly when she tried it, and even with my help, it did not turn out. She was very excited to get this gift, and since it was expensive, I saved it for Christmas. This is the neatest hair device I’ve owned! I see myself using it everyday with plenty of heat protectant. After drying my hair with a diffuser, only needed a few minutes with this curling iron to even out my natural waves. I have tried the con-air auto curler and another one that’s battery powered. My hair was shorter with the con air so I could curl it very close to the roots. Now I know that my hair is longer than shoulder length, I can only curl so much. This BabyBliss has much more even heat on the hair than the other two. Plus, I got tired of a battery curler ruining my plans. I bought this curler about 12 years ago and absolutely loved it. The curler started making loud noises and quit working so I had to buy a new one. I bought a different brand one at first because it was half the price. It was awful! The curls fell flat and straight within an hour. I returned it and bought this one. I absolutely love it, just like the old one. Only issue (which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5) is that it makes a noise when it sucks the hair in. The old one didn't make a loud noise when it brought the hair in. Not sure if there is something wrong with it or if thats just the way the newer version is. ... show more

Product is a little bulky and switched to the Tyme curler shortly after purchasing this. My hair would get caught a lot and there was more of a learning curve with this as opposed to the Tyme.
