My son has always loved bath time, but apparently a childhood fear of getting water/soap in your eyes, ears, nose, mouth, etc. is genetic. I remember being terrified of having my hair washed as a child, screaming and crying the whole time. Obviously I have outgrown this fear, so it’s I know it’s not a learned behavior. I still felt horribly guilty watching my son suffer the same fear. We’ve tried other hats but they’re usually just made of foam and don’t actually work. I tried what my mom did which was just holding a face cloth over my face and leaning my head back. Nope. I didn’t think he would even be willing to try anything else, until I came across this product with its awesome video showing another little kid using it, smiling, washing their own hair. It was enough to convince him to try it. Now bath time doesn’t end in tears; we get to have fun the entire time! It works perfectly. It’s rubber, not foam so it holds its shape and the ridges direct the water far from his face. It’s big enough (I got the big kid size for a 4 y/o) to cover his ears and basically go all around his head. By the end of our first time using this bath hat he was having a ball washing his own hair. He wasn’t afraid at all, dumping a pitcher of water on top of his head. He never would have done this before! Thank you so much for this product! I’m buying a backup just in case this one gets lost because I can’t see living without it now. Bonus: he looks like an adorable sunflower with it on which he also gets a kick out of. :)

I bought large size and it is quite big! However thankfully it fits in my 3-year old daughter’s head. She wears it comfortably. When used the first time, it was very difficult to wear and I had hard time adjusting myself to it. However after a few times, I figured out easier way to wear and now it is a must! The only thing is that towards the end of rinsing hair, sometimes it slides so my daughter holds it with her hand which helps me very much to finish rinsing. But I’m happy with the purchase! One thing, this is very sturdy!

Hello All, It's Steve@HobbyADHD With Another Review! This product is a great value for the money if you can get your child to keep it in place.. Construction: Very well constructed with an easy to use belt-style band. Fit: Slightly large for my 2 year old. Feel: Very soft and didn't leave any pressure mark. Usability: Works as advertised. Issues: Not a perfect seal. Pros: Silicone and easy to clean. Large coverage area. Cons: Not a perfect seal. Slightly large for my 2 year old. I would recommend this product. If your child is just worried about water in their face it can work very well. Unfortunately my daughter is very aware of any water and it wasn't a perfect seal. I can see people with children that just want to keep a majority of water off of their faces having really good luck with this cap..

I just receive this item two weeks ago. So I am going off one use! The stretch is nice it can fit my five and ten year old daughters head. I don’t know if over time it will stain but for now I clean it right after her use. It is very easy to use. I gave three star because it stated it can fit a child younger than five. My daughter is five but it keeps slipping down off her head.So if your child is younger than five it’s a waste of money. I had to have her hold it! So if you are looking for something cheap for a quick use ok. I recommend something a little sturdier with more support so your child does not have to hold it while you wash her hair.

First, it is extremely hard to put on, once you put it on, it falls off. A child usually doesn’t have the patience to sit there and let you figure out how to best fasten and keep the hat on. We tried while it is on, the water still gets in the eyes and face, it is not sticky to your face as it’s like a swimming goggle. There are still gaps in between. If your child has long or lots of hair, then it’s another hassle to try to put this on. Even if it stays on and blocks the water, it’s hard to wash all the hair thoroughly as some hair are stuck or wrapped within this hat. Overall this product may have the right intention but poor execution. Perhaps it works on kids with little or short hair and kids who don’t mind a little bit of water on their face.

THIS IS A LIFE SAVOR! My son hated bath time cause soap would get in his eyes when I washed his hair. However this completely helped adjust him and now he has fun during his baths and I’m able to get him clean with no fuss

I have a two year-old. This two year-old HATES having his hair washed and has hated it since he came into existence - literally every hair washing brings tears and is just a frustrating experience for us both. I'd put off buying this because of the spotty reviews, but figured what the heck, I'm tired of this, it's less than $10, and now I wish I'd gotten this a year ago. It's not perfect. But if I set this low enough on his forehead, I can wash the top and front of his hair and rinse the soap out before taking this off (we call it his "crown") and then I can wash the parts that didn't get soaped/rinsed while the crown was on. Last night was the FIRST NIGHT EVER that this kid did not cry during hair washing - instead, we laughed!!! He loves the it, I love it because I hated the hair-washing torture sessions even more than he did. My kid's head circumference measured 19.4 inches at his two-year appointment, so I went with the Big Size. I cinched it to the tightest setting, mostly to ensure that it wouldn't slip during the two minutes it was on his head (we don't tarry). I had no problems with it slipping, and I also had no problems taking it off. He said it was tight, but didn't complain. I think if he had longer hair it would have definitely been more of a challenge to use this, but for us, it was a great solution. I just wish I'd bought it earlier. Definitely worth the money.
