I love this baby monitor. It didn’t cost an arm and a leg and it works just as well as any other baby monitor. I used the owlette monitor for my daughter and this one is just as good as that one apart from the convenience of being able to pull it up on your phone. Wanted an inexpensive but good baby monitor for nursery and this works great! Easy to install the camera. Monitor has several features like music, temperature alerts for too hot or cold in the room, eco mode, etc. Picture is clear during day or night. 2 way communication. I like the range that the camera moves around, almost completely 360. Only negative thing is depending in camera placement, it can be a little close up without a zoom out option. We travel to my in-law's place fairly frequently, so we needed a second baby monitor. Rather than bring our existing HelloBaby baby monitor back and forth, we decided to get a second one. This one is just as good (some might say it's even better) than the HelloBaby one. I just wish it had a tripod mount on the bottom. Setup: 5/5 - Simple. Just plug in the camera, then plug in the monitor. Turn on the power and you're up and running. Function: 5/5 - It works exactly as described. The camera pans up and down, left and right by pressing the controls. The night vision turns on automatically when the room gets dark. It plays lullabies, but I don't really use that function. It has a temperature sensor, which I feel is a bit low compared to my other thermometers in the room. Picture quality: 5/5 - As you can see from the photos, the picture is brighter on the Firskids one. This is arguably better than the HelloBaby one, but my wife still prefers the look of the Hellobaby more. The day time color is not spectacular, but for monitoring your baby when she sleeps, it's more than adequate. The screen is slightly smaller on the Firskids one, but it's not much smaller and if it wasn't side-by-side next to the HelloBaby monitor, I wouldn't notice. Mounting: 4/5 - It comes with a mounting plate that you screw into the wall. Then you twist the camera onto the plate. That's fine, but I prefer to put the camera onto a tripod mount. Most cameras have a standard tripod mount that screws onto tripods or other camera holders (GorillaPods, various clips). The HelloBaby camera has one, but this one does not. Luckily, I have an adapter that fits into this camera that converts it to a standard tripod mount. Overall, an excellent quality baby monitor that offers just as much as the Hellobaby one I already have. If you just plan to sit the monitor onto a flat surface or screw it onto a wall, you'll be fine. But if you plan to use a tripod mount, you'll need to get an adapter. ... show more

I like the baby monitor. Good picture quality, connectivity is good, price is fantastic. Allows me to keep an eye on my kids while they're in the living room by themselves. Other inexpensive baby monitors require you to connect to your cell phone and open an app each time you want to check on the kids. The media could not be loaded. I got this Firskids Baby Monitor for monitoring my kiddos safely. I have been using it daily for a little under a month. I had been using cheap Wi-Fi cameras from Walmart which worked great for our purposes, but the thought of them being accessible to anyone else no matter how unlikely bothered me so I had been on the lookout for something like this. I also really wanted a portable solution that would work for when we are traveling, visiting relatives, etc. I needed a plug and go solution. This camera monitor has been an excellent addition with only one issue that I find bothersome which is that it is not as clear/detailed a picture as our previous ($30) cameras which have better picture quality especially with the night vision. Pros: User friendly and intuitive design! Easy and instant setup...no struggling or checking of instructions was needed. - No WI-FI required -Portable...plug and go! - Allows zooming in and out - Plays music/lullabies - Great range! Works everywhere in our home (1300sqft). - Great range of features overall: volume control, 2 way audio, camera can move/pan around room both up and down, adjust brightness, etc. - Microphone and 2 way-audio works wonderfully! Con: My only con for this camera is that I wish the picture quality was a little bit better/clearer at times. The other, cheaper WI-FI cameras I have used had a slightly better picture quality particularly with nighttime and zooming. In a well-lit room it isn't an issue. You can see from the video I took that it is a respectable quality. In night mode though If I am trying to see through the mesh of my daughter's pack and play it is hard to discern what is what. It all kind of blurs and pixelates together though my other cameras didn't have an issue. It mostly depends on your set up. If you are mounting it right above a crib it probably won't be an issue. I recently combined my almost 2 and 4 year old into the same room so I was using it to view them both at opposite sides of the room. Overall, I am very happy with this camera monitor! It is so convenient and user friendly. I have to take a star off due to noticing the lesser picture quality between this camera and my previous cheaper ones. I would prefer to only take a half star off, but it really is an issue for me at times that I can't see as well as I want to so I think it is fair either way. ... show more

I loved how easy it was to set this camera up. You don’t need WiFi, so you don’t have worry about the camera getting hacked. The monitor is a great size. It also works well at night.
