My daughter and I practiced riding on the sidewalk right outside our front door. At first, she wobbled and wavered up there, but once the training wheels were on, she grew more and more confident. The seat is soft and snug, and even after pedaling for over ten minutes, she didn’t complain of any discomfort. The wheels are inflatable and cushioned, so bumps in the pavement didn’t jolt her, and turning felt smooth. Cute bike and most of it is put together already but the few things you do have to assemble are tricky because the instructions are useless. Literally missing steps and forgot to mention when/where you use pieces.

My 6-year-old was so excited to get this big girl bike after she spent the summer riding a bike at her grandparents’ house. She had no problem jumping on the bike at grandma and grandpa’s house and literally was riding WITHOUT training wheels within 10 minutes. When she got this bike, she couldn’t steer, the pedals were too hard to push and she couldn’t even get the bike to move. She begged to put training wheels on, so we did and she still had a hard time. The difference between grandma and grandpa’s bike and this one— grandma and grandpa’s bike was a Schwinn. I trusted the good reviews on this bike and was fooled by the cute look and I should not have been. I’m so very disappointed that I will be now be returning this unrideable bike. ... show more
