My 6-year-old outgrew his previous bike and it was time to upgrade. He was adamant about getting a basket so he can have a place to put his toys. The bike came with training wheels which is great. Despite the instruction booklet showing a kickstand, there was no kickstand in the box (not needed since there are training wheels). There are both forms or braking system (pedal and handlebars) which is a nice transition from his previous bike. His hand is too small to use the hand brakes but it’s there for him to practice when he’s ready. For now, the pedal brakes work perfectly fine. He loves the color scheme and the brown accents on the wheels, seat and handle bars are a nice touch. Installation is very straight forward. It may take a bit longer if the kids help. The front wheel does not have a quick detach system but the wheels are so small at this point, I’m not sure that would be necessary. ... show more

Screws/bolts (including training wheels) constantly get loose. Every bold loosens as bike is ridden. Even training wheels loosen while in motion so makes to be very dangerous. Handle bars get out of alignment along with seat. Doesn’t ride smooth and makes noises and there’s friction with tires. Our daughter kept falling because of this and we can’t even give away due to safety. Ready for the trash. We’ve put together many bikes in the past and this one was no different to put together than the others, just terrible quality. We bought based on reviews but couldn’t be more disappointed. Wish we could return and get money back, not worth price at all. Pay for what you get. ... show more
