He likes using his comforter during the summer with the AC, so I was glad that this still helps him stay a bit cooler. Super comfortable as well! He has autism and usually does everything he can to remove fitted bed sheets, but he hasn't with this one so far. Haven't had to clean it yet, so we'll see how it holds up after a wash.

The fabric top on this thing feels so nice that it doesn't feel like it's waterproof. It does not feel like it has a layer of plastic in it. It doesn't make noise like it has a layer of plastic in it. It also doesn't get you sweaty. It DOES take a long time to wash and dry, because you can't dry it on high heat (because it will ruin the waterproofing). Nonetheless, recommended!

This mattress cover was ordered to replace an older one that had gotten torn after years of use and washings. It was an excellent fit for our 10" queen sized mattress, with the elastic pulling the corners and sides underneath the mattress approximately 5" all around. No concerns for it pulling off the mattress at all. It isn't super thick, but it has a nice soft top that appears very breathable to keep you cooler at night.
