I’ve made several very good purchases from this brand. This item was mostly o.k. I liked the antique bronze color and the parts seemed to be nice quality. The harp was listed as 6” (choice of 6” or 7”), but was actually 5.5”, so I ended up re-using the silver tone 6” harp I already had— the shade covers it, so the color doesn’t matter that much. Also, the brass plated screw on the socket wouldn’t fully screw in, so I reused one from the old socket. Overall, I’m glad I retired the lamp with a better cord and polarized plug— happy with my purchase. ... show more

Purchased two of these lamp kits to rewire a set of lamps. Easy to assemble and the lamps look great.

    • Poor incorrect directions
I rewired a Christmas tree base lamp. There were two errors in the directions. There was also was a part that was not shown on the diagram. I used my previous threaded rod as theirs was too short. I understand the likelihood of antique brass being a shade different here and there, but I'm disappointed with the gold piece that clearly belongs in a different set. I'm not about to deal with sending it back or returning it. I will find a way to make it work ,maybe some paint or I'll burn it with a torch. Just FYI. You might not get exactly what you want color wise. The good thing about antique colors are they don't need to match exactly, but in this case one piece looks like brand new brass and that throws off the antique look I was attempting. It will instead, look like an antique that had a piece replaced. :( ... show more
