    • Handy little practice amp
I'll start with the good: These are surprisingly decent sounding little practice amps. They are plenty loud enough to get my kid to complain that it's too loud in the living room, in a package you can easily store on a shelf or carry in a backpack. These amps are small stereo speakers with a digital front end that provides a modeled guitar amp. Think of it as a nice portable bluetooth speaker with a front end to make it also work as a practice amp. Because the "guitar amp" part is actually digitally processed, these amps have neat features like USB OTG recording. And they are surprisingly versatile. I end up using them for listening to music, testing out guitar pedals, playing mini synths, and i've even used one as a computer speaker briefly when my normal speaker setup failed. Build quality is surprisingly solid. If you take one apart you'll find a pair of surprisingly stout little speakers, an electronics board, and not much else. The case is all plastic, but rigid. They are not intended as high end gigging gear, but as price conscious consumer electronics. And they do a great job for what they are. Battery life is good enough that you can play for days between charges. They charge with standard USB C so keeping it topped up is easy. The bad is mainly just a matter of being realistic. This is a small speaker and it's not going to keep up with loud instruments in a practice session. It's too quiet for most busking scenarios. They also don't always respond to pedals in the way you might want, because they digitize everything and if you overwhelm the front end you can get digital artifacts instead of the sort of breakup an analog amp can give. I'm not saying you can't use pedals or multifx boxes with it, but the results can be inconsistent. They may be exactly what you want, or not. You have probably noticed that I keep saying "they" rather than "this" when referring to this amp. The reason is that the same basic amps are sold under a number of brands. I've played with four of them, all with different brand names. There are small differences in the features such as some don't have Bluetooth, some have a second input for a microphone, but they are all basically the same with the largest differences being cosmetic. I have noticed small differences in the processing, e.g. some don't have a dirty channel but instead add a different effect, or the sound is slightly different like they chose different parameters for their processing. But they all sound surprisingly good for the size and price. I have tried out several AZOR products and so far I like them as a value brand. The products they choose to sell are good and I have not been disappointed or frustrated by any of them. Why 5 stars? AZOR's mini electric guitar amp is suitable for practice and music playback in small quiet rooms. The sound can get reasonably loud, enough to fill up a small room like a bedroom or your living room, which is pretty common for this type of amp. I've had very similar amps from Donner and Pogolab in the past to compare this one against. How does it compare? Short answer's this one is best of the three. This amp has great wireless connectivity with Bluetooth so you can play along with songs from your phone, or just use it as a wireless speaker that gets way louder than your phone. I also used it with a synth, it's compatible with nearly anything that can plug in and makes sounds. And I'm guessing nearly anything that uses bluetooth. There is also a headphone jack output for silent practicing. It has two channels, a clean and an overdrive one. I'd say the clean channel sounds better than the overdrive channel in general, but the od is serviceable. I do like the inclusion of the tone knob to give you more control over sculpting how the amp sounds. Build quality is above average, it feels better built than other mini amps like this I've used with a more substantial weight, and looks cooler as well. It is bigger and better than many of the competition in many ways. But keep in mind it is still just an all plastic construction starter amp with 2" speakers, expectations should be reasonable. With an amp in this class you can't play with other instruments unless they play very quiet. Battery life seems great at around 5 hours, I've let music play over Bluetooth through it for nearly that long, 5 hours seems legitimate. I would recommend this as a good beginners amp, i wish it was a bit less expensive, more like 30 to 35 dollars would be a good value. ... show more

This is absolutely perfect for portable jamming. I have a full size amp, and a small Vox headphone amp thingy. This mini-amp splits the different and fills that gap perfectly. I've come to really like Azor guitar products in recent months. Their super-budget effects pedals have been a great addition to my cheap setup. This mini-amp does not disappoint. It sounds good... You know, it's tiny, it's not going to blow the roof off. Set your expectations accordingly. But for what it is, it's great. I love, LOVE that it's USB-C rechargeable. Very modern. No need for batteries with this. So pleased with this little guy! ... show more

    • Great clean tones not terrible dist and gain perfect volume levels
This is great for just a little portable the rechargeable option is really cool I've had some littlw portable amp in the past and really disliked chasing down some batteries. The gain and dist on this isnt terrible it good for a littlw practice session but the clean tones are where it shines it sounds great on clean setting the tone knob allows you to adjust it to your liking and its perfectly loud enough. Over all id reccomend if you do like having a little portable its the best one I've used in this price range ... show more

This little amp is just a bit bigger than a standard effects pedal. It is rechargeable and can take a line in to play along to a phone or radio. It doesn't get super loud but gets loud enough to play over string noise. The built in distortion isn't going to blow you away, but works well enough for a portable practice device. I plan on keeping this in the car for on the go ideas! I'd love to take it hiking but it doesn't behave a built in handle. I was pleasantly surprised that the highs don't get too shrill sounding and the low end sound doesn't get really woofy. I jammed with it and a USB powered pedal for an hour the other night even when more expensive gear was on the table right next to me, so I think it will be an effective tool to keep around and take places where I don't have to be bothered with outlets and extra cables! I think this mini amp would be good for someone looking for something portable and rechargeable, or for a parent who wants to have an option for their child that doesn't get too loud even at its loudest setting. ... show more

This thing is super small and easy to lug around wherever. Charges fast on USB C and keeps going for hours so I can play without hunting for an outlet. Sound is surprisingly good with clean and overdrive settings I can tweak plus headphones plug right in for quiet time. Pairs with my phone over bluetooth too so jamming to songs is easy.
