Typical applications, up to 17,600 watts, include electric range (8KW - 10 KW), electric ovens, quick recovery hot water heaters and central residential air conditioners. Product was easy to install and works as promised. Can't say the same for Amazon shipping. Breaker was ordered because of failure of old breaker and was needed ASAP. Amazon promised next day delivery and I purchased it even though there were other less expensive alternatives listed. Item "was delayed" and delivery took two days. For a long period of time they could not give an update on when the delivery would take place. Circuit breaker was shipped in the simple Amazon vinyl envelope with no protection for the item. There was an insulator broken off [not critical for the install] and the attachment screw for one of the terminals was missing. Had to go to the hardware store for another in order to complete the installation. ... show more

Apparently, Connecticut Electric purchased the patten to make NEW breakers for the push-lock breakers. These bolted right in with no problems. Just FYI, they also make NEW Zinsco and Federal Pacific breakers if you ever need them.

    • No terminal block screw
I really wish that I knew that I would need to scavenge for a much-needed part so that I could install this thing. The terminal block screws did not come with the breaker. The holes are different sizes than the original breaker's. This is turning a 5 minute job into a 5 day job. It's dark when I get home from work. Maybe we can use the oven next week. ... show more
