Pros: Small form factor Lightweight Fast enough for most basic tasks Great for firewall/router thanks to dual LAN ports Builtin microSD reader Cons: Internal SATA port is flaky, tried multiple different SATA SSDs (different brands and sizes), but result was the same. BIOS often times doesn’t see the drive, but OS intermittently would, or vice versa. Rebooting multiple times just to get the SATA drive to work is not very reliable. And this leads to the next con: only 1 USB3 port (the others are USB2) All in all, still a great device, especially when on sale (<$150), and if used as-is. If looking for expandability in terms of storage, maybe better to look for alternatives. ... show more

I purchased the AWOW AK10 to replace an earlier version, the AWOW AK41. This AK10 offers a better processor as well as more memory and has expandability with connections for an additional SATA drive and an SD card reader. I am using it with my Sony 4K television connected with the HDMI 2.0 port. This port is an upgrade- better than the HDMI ports on the previous model. I can stream 4K videos with no problems. The PC is also connected to my Roon server for music streaming and works great. This mini PC can handle any basic computing needs with no problems and could easily be a "daily driver". Though I am not a gamer, the AK10 should easily handle light gaming but more intense 3D games would probably struggle. I am certain that if your main purpose was 3D gaming you would be looking for a more powerful PC! This comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and does not have a type C port but does offer a display port for multiple screens. As a media center, this computer fits all my needs! I am thinking of using the SATA drive for an Android operating system, which would open more applications. The support staff at AWOW are fantastic, and there to answer any questions or concerns you may encounter. Solid performer and simple to setup. Full disclosure, I did not use the Windows 11 image that came with this, I booted it up initially to verify the machine worked, then overwrote it with a HomeAssistant image. I bought for $99, and for the price it's a good value. cons: - PCIE is slow, so don't bother buying top tier SSDs - Fresh Windows install requires drivers from their site for network to work - Single RAM channel - I think it's only USB 3.1 on the front since the speed is not as fast my desktop 3.2 pros: - can play DOTA 2 at optimal settings (not maximum settings) - Linux + Gnome desktop performance is good - bottom cover has bracket for 2.5" SSD SATA - wifi and bluetooth has OK signal compared to another mini pc I own - can change P1 and P2 in BIOS if you want lower wattage Overall not a bad deal. The slow PCIE is almost worth a star, but considering it's $100 I'll overlook it. ... show more

This review is being written on day 4 of having it. I ordered the AK10 PRO with the 256gb SSD and 8gb ram. Got it Friday 03/07/2025. Took about 20-30 minutes to get through the Windows set up, but that is probably typical of any new windows setup. Got everything installed on it that I would use software wise. Two of the most important programs I use is Orca slicer and Cura. Both programs run smooth and load fast. I then opened up the unit and changed out the 8gb 3200mhz ram to a 16gb 2666mhz ram stick and the pc seems faster for the programs I run on it. I am very pleased at this moment to have gotten this unit, especially when they had the $30 off coupon for a price of 99 dollars. That was a great deal.
