  • Excellent screen!
Size: 120" Color: Cinematic Screen
Pretty difficult to install and get lined up correctly with your short throw projector but well worth it! It looks like a normal TV.

  • Great screen!
Size: 120" Color: Cinematic Screen
The media could not be loaded. We bought this with the Awol 3000 projector and we are very happy with our purchase! Good picture during the day with light coming in the window. It was tricky to put the screen on the frame. I suggest finding a YouTube video and having two people work together and do opposite sides at the same time. ... show more

  • Awol Vision 100" ALR Daylight Screen for UST projectors.
Size: 100" Color: Daylight Screen
After my 75" led tv died and after watching a bunch of reviews on Youtube I bought this screen to pair with an Awol Vision ultra short throw projector. Screen came well packaged . Screen was rolled up on a cardboard tube and shrink wrapped. The frame components and attachment hardware was stored in foam inside the tube. This tube was in its own box. This box was inside another box. This packaging has some weight to it but should significantly or entirely reduce damage during shipping. My screen came on the scheduled day. The packaging wasn't beat up. After inventorying the package contents, the assembly instructions were sufficient for assembly. The screen is msde up of multiole layers making it surprisingly durable. There is an arrow on the back of the screen so it is mounted on the wall in the correct orientation. Tensioning the screen was pretty straight forward once the hardware was installed. It took two people to hang the screen on the wall with the included mounting hardware. The assembly instructions described this procedure well. The inner and outer frames are sturdy and esthetically pleasing. Extra assemly parts were included. Screen size is approximately 89"L x50"H. Overall, I'm pleased with the screen so far. Watching 100" 3D movies is awesome. 2D movies, video games, and streaming services are very clear as well. Where I have my screen mounted, I do not notice any difference in picture quality as brightness of room changes because the screen is an ALR (Active Light Rejecting) screen specifically designed for Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors in well lit rooms. If you're looking to upgrade or create a theater room in your dwelling, I would consider this screen. However; I have not tested other ALR screens in the same price range to see how they compare. This screen is for Ultrs Short Throw projectors. So, if you dont have a UST projector, this may not work with your setup . If it does, you may see a reduction in picture quality or need to optimize picture settings. ... show more

  • Very Good ALR UST Screen
Size: 100" Color: Cinematic Screen
The AWOL VISION Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) 100” projector screen (C100) for UST projectors is a very decent screen. It provides an enhanced viewing experience compared to a plain white screen (by rejecting ambient light from above). The 95% Ceiling Light Rejecting(CLR) design really does work. No measurement were made by me to verify the 95%. But the effect looks good. The AWOL screen assembly is good design, but I am not saying it is an optimal design. There are competitors to AWOL, but I don’t see that anybody has an advantage over AWOL. One real down side is that these screens are not cheep from any brand. It is necessary to assemble and install the screen before using. It is obviously not practical to ship an assembled screen. I suspect that it would be correct to say that to assemble and install this screen is not for the faint at heart. I would expect many people are not mechanically inclined enough to handle the task. A single person can complete an installation if they are skillful enough. The screen was delivered to me on July 25, 2024, assembly began shortly afterwards (a reference date for the assembly instructions that I received). There was an included instruction manual and an online YouTube video. This review is only going to point out issues that I had and consequently what I did. First, the included instruction manual was dead wrong in the horizontal positioning of the wall mounting brackets. For the C100, the upper wall brackets should be between 55 to 65 inches horizontally apart (my opinion). In my installation, I was fortuitously to have wall studs ~64 inches apart just where I would like to have them (screen centered at the desired position). I noticed that when the screen is hanging on the brackets, you can slide the screen horizontally a couple of inches for a final position tweak. The ability to slide the screen on the wall brackets for a few horizontal inches is a plus. During assembly process, I used the bare inner frame to check the locations and the installation of the wall brackets. This is before the ALR screen material is installed on the inner frame. That was a great idea from AWOL’s YouTube video. A couple of other assemble instructions were not optimal, but do work especially if you understand the intent of the instructions. I gave the AWOL VISION ALR C100 screen 4 of 5 stars. Because of the spotty assembly instructions, I subtracted 1 star. However, AWOL has a good support team, they will listen to you and not blow you off or forget to return your emails. ... show more

  • ALR feature is oversold - not much different than regular screen
Size: 132" Color: Cinematic Screen
As others stated it is difficult to assemble. I usually dismiss that because I find things easy to assemble generally even when reviews state there were issues. In this case, the problem is that you need to have the same overhang of the screen on each side of the frame or the exterior frame pieces will not fit you and you need to start again. It was difficult and time consuming to do. The mechanical part of putting in a few screws was easy, but placement was time consuming. More importantly I don't find the screen to have a significant impact on brightness. I'm moving from a very bright long through 4K projector and traditional screen to a short throw AWOL and my prior setup handled light better so I'm a bit disappointed. This screen does lie flat on the wall well. ... show more

  • Worth the money - pairs well with Hisense PX3-Pro
Size: 100" Color: Daylight Screen
Combined this with a Hisense PX3-Pro projector (sorry AWOL you really need to release a product to compete with this model) - it is a superb projector material. It takes an hour or two to build, but once its done, it's superb. Be very careful that your working surface is free of dust and debris or they might become visibly lodged between the screen and the mounting frame - requiring it to be taken down and redone (if it bothers you). Also be very careful/methodical when tightening and follow instructions. This is installed in my downstairs office / den and it does a great job of rejecting everything but the most direct of sunlight. ... show more
