I was using an old-school 8' wide pull-down curtain before I upgraded to this dedicated pull-down screen. This is a good bang for the buck if you're doing casual outdoor viewing. Paired with my Vankyo Leisure 470 projector, this put out a great crisp and brightly reflected image. Material and build quality was certainly better than the pull-down curtain I was using. I didn't notice much if any creasing on the screen when I pulled it down on the first use and there was no chemical smell. I was outdoors so maybe it had time to air out. I suspect the people who are breaking the return mechanism (the slight pull-down and then release to draw back into the housing) are doing it too hard or pulling the screen down far past it's allowed limit. Once you see the black at the top of the screen when pulling it down...STOP! Or perhaps they're letting it slam back up into the housing? Hope you know have to hold the pull down handle/rope as it draws back up into the housing. Although the box came with one ding in it, the product wasn't harmed. I was using my projector on my living room wall and the picture seemed fine. However, I needed a screen for entertaining outdoors. I picked this model out because it met my preferred criteria of having a 1.1 gain, was 100" diagonal and had a white casing. I was willing to spend more money for a screen from a well known company but nothing was available at the time. I'm glad I gave this screen a try because it does the job fine. I compared images of Mt Everest against my light yellow wall and the screen and the snow on MT Everest was drastically whiter on the screen. The construction seems fine for the price and the screen opens and closes without any issues so far. The screen does show some very minor waves but only when not watching a movie. Images are beautiful on the screen and I see no reason to need to upgrade in the future as long as the screen holds up. ... show more

Item is great but arrived damaged. You could see that the box was smashed and it dented part of the case on two sides. It's not noticable and I decided to keep it. It is disappointing though.

Product was damaged when it arrived. I was able to reach out to them and they gladly took care of it by giving me a replacement. They were very helpful and worked quickly to get my problem situated. Overall, I'm very happy with the screen and have no complaints.

This thing is awesome. Looks really good. Love that it can be rolled up. I have 120in screen that was just too big for the permant spot I want to keep my projector. Just worked out that this screen was the perfect size based on throw ratio.
