Read the reviews before ordering and some said the color coding was inaccurate. I was please to find that the color coding exactly matched my camper. I think the color coding issue pertains to a 4 way flat wiring harness which uses a different coding than what a 7 way uses. I Installed the unit yesterday and was very easy to do. The product does not come with the screws to mount it so you will need to source 2 screws. I used 1" self tapping. The provided crimp connectors worked well with no issues and the box has ample room to leave extra wire tucked nicely out of the way. The 8 foot cord is plenty long and made well. The only small con that I can point out is that there is no gasket around the cover to create a "waterproof" seal. the box is water resistant and I don't believe it will be an issue but wanted to make note of it so anyone looking at this product is aware. I would recommend this to anyone needing to add/upgrade/replace there junction box. easily 5 stars from me.

Rating Update: Despite others that complained about this product being too large, I went for the price and bought this thinking I prefer a tight fit, and 93% rated it 4 or 5 stars. Well, it's more than a tight fit and it was a bear removing it out of the plug. I needed to tow my boat yesterday when it arrived and was determined to get it in the receptacle, at one point I almost gave up- I even lubed it with silicone grease. I don't think it bottomed out into the receptacle, but the lights work. I hate returning a product if I used it but I'll see if they'll let me, because I'm not going through this routine every time I need to use this. And needless to say, I can't recommend this adapter, at least for my application. UPDATE: The seller contacted me which has not happened often after I leave a low rating on Amazon, so I'm raising my star rating from 1 to 4, as it made me delve into more of the positive reviews. As I reread the other rating left on this product, it makes me wonder why the fit ranges from tight to loose, isn't a 7-way round RV socket standard? Apparently not. So if you find some adapters are loose in your socket, this will be the one you want.

Won't know about water resistance until I open the box to inspect after some use ion the rain, but it looks OK. If it's not good that way, I can make a cover to shed water. Wire seems good, properly sized for the current requirements of each function, color coding is perfect, connections are good and the plug attaches to the truck outlet very smoothly (oh, and all of my trailer lights work as intended - finally).

When a friend of mine requested help to clear out a fallen tree using his older open trailer, I found that I needed this adapter to keep safe on the road. Not only did the adapter fit my 2013 Tacoma's factory installed plug, it worked for all the signal and brake lights as it should. Made from thick plastic and includes a dust cover when you've tucked the trailer away but still need the components ready to go.
