  • WOW - Amazing product
Color: Silver
Very rarely do I classify do I classify a product as Amazing, unless it is truly amazing. After owning my Mercedes Benz CLA for over 5 years, I realized, there are products out there that would save me from having to wash and re-apply the protective wax coating layers. Obviously, you should be waxing your car, if you want your paint to last long and look shiny and new. Personally, I live in the dry desert, where it is very sandy. Wax doesn't last very long. A heavy load of wax will trap the dust/dirt and make the car look dirty. You'll notice that most wax applications are virtually useless. That's when I heard about the ceramic coating and this item. There aren't too many of these quality products available on the market and I was skeptical of this product, at first. If you are skeptical to see if it works, you should just try it out on the inner door jambs area, or an area underneath/side of the car. Applying this crystal coating is like placing a wax coating, but is much harder, more permanent. Best of all, itll look just like you bought the car. Ceramic coating is essentially an additional layer that gets applied on top of your paint...like a clear coat. This layer will eventually wear out like wax, but is much more durable to scratching from the sand and dirt in my area. This means that you're protecting the layers of paint from all the dirt and pollutants. Highly recommend this product. It was very easy for a first time DIYer (on this product), though I will say, I did bring a lot of experience and equipment. First thing you want to do is prepare your car for this nano application - thoroughly wash your car - for this, I decided to use a heavier soap that will remove more/all pollutants. If you want, you could use a little bit of dish soap to remove any preexisting wax, which is what I did. If you're crazy like me, you can clay your car and remove any micro particles, using a clay bar. This will definitely remove any wax and miniature particles. After drying the car with a microfiber towel, you're ready to apply the nano coat. This is the final step. Just like applying wax, you apply a couple drops at a time, in straight lines. Just make sure it looks fairly even and that the entire surface looks linear. The next step is just letting it sit for a minute before buffing. I do wish the product came with a spray bottle, but I can see a lot of the product going to waste, if they did that. They didn't mention anything about using a orbital buffer, but I decided to use that during this step. If you choose this, I would use something relatively soft. I didn't want to remove the coating, so gentle and slow movements should be fine. Let this thing dry for a couple days in the garage, where there is no dust, hopefully. After that is done, you can test to see if it repels water and dirt better than wax. If you want it to last longer, just apply wax on top, as you normally would. Amazing results - my 5 year old car looks like it was just bought from the dealership. ... show more

  • Good quality product
Color: Silver
The Autokcan 10H Nano Ceramic Coating kit is a comprehensive package that promises to add a durable shield to your car’s exterior. The high-gloss finish and anti-scratch properties it advertises are not just marketing fluff; they truly deliver a noticeable difference in the vehicle’s appearance. Applying the coating was straightforward, thanks to the included gloves and applicator pads. However, it’s important to note that to achieve optimal results, you’ll need to commit to applying at least three layers. This requires some time and patience, but the process itself is not complicated. After the application, the hydrophobic qualities are evident. Water beads and slides off the car with ease, which not only looks impressive but also makes cleaning the car less of a chore. The SiO2 ceramic technology seems to provide a strong barrier against the elements. I appreciate that the product comes with a two-year warranty, offering peace of mind on its longevity and effectiveness. While the need for multiple layers might be a slight inconvenience, the end result is a sleek, protected car exterior that stands out. In summary, Autokcan’s Nano Ceramic Coating is an excellent choice for car enthusiasts looking to protect their vehicle with a DIY approach. The effort certainly pays off with a professional-looking finish and lasting protection. ... show more

  • Don’t spend 100’s when you can get results for $10
So being new to this whole ceramic coating craze I figured I’d take the plunge on a less expensive product that way if I were to screw up the application I wouldn’t be wasting money in the process. Now, some backstory... I drive a 2011 Ford Raptor with just shy of 100,000 miles, most of them decently rough given that I live in dusty, windy, scolding hot Nevada, so suffice to say this truck has seen some poor paint conditions. Add to that the fact that until recently the truck has never been garaged, and was constantly doused with sprinklers spewing hard water all over it... total recipe for disaster, at least paint wise. As with all paint related products, the devil is in the details, and by details, I mean the prep work. In addition to the ceramic coating, I also ordered a clay bar kit, dual action 7” polisher and some meguiars polishing compound, knowing that in order to properly apply the ceramic, I would have to completely strip all contaminates with the clay, compound the paint, and polish it out long before ceramic coating the truck. Due to the hard water stains, the rough shape of the paint, and my OCD, I had about 8 hours (over 4 days) of prep before even opening the ceramic bottle..... As far as the ceramic kit is concerned, first and foremost, throw the instructions away. They’re written in broken English and impossible to decipher. YouTube ceramic coating videos and you’ll more or less find out how to apply it. The kit comes with the coating, two “applicator cloths” a sponge, and the directions. The cloths are garbage, but since I was lacking any other types of “glasses type” microfiber cleaning cloths, I elected to still use them. The bottle, although tiny (think small hot sauce bottle) is enough to do at least two cars. I did my huge truck and have more than 3/4 of the bottle left. The application is pretty basic, rub on, wait, rub off. But there’s a little bit of a catch here. There are a few varying opinion on how to “remove” the coating once it flashes and is ready to be hand buffed off. Most youtubers say just use elbow grease, yet the hard to understand instructions say to use a damp microfiber towel. I can 100% tell you from experience, absolutely use a damp microfiber towel. It will make life so much easier. Otherwise you will continually have a leftover haze that you can’t seem to buff out. Be sure to use clean water, not a detail spray, as I got the same haze when using a quick detail spray before moving to the clean water. I mean just look at the results! $10 worth of product. My trucks paint was an absolute mess. I regret not getting “before” pics as a reference. As I just applied the product, I can’t comment on durability, but at $10 you can afford to apply it 5x a year if you feel like you need to. ... show more
