Update on button press, using my thumb works all of the time so adding a star. I would highly recommend this espresso maker at this point. Original: This machine could be great and in my opinion, comparable to the other higher priced auto dosers out there. Why the 3 star review? Where it falls short is at the panel, the 1 and 2 shot buttons are really finiky and hard to get working on a single press. While the power button is flawless. The auto dose and tamper work amazing and it's relatively quick. You can do this while the machine is preheating so that a time saver. The pressure gauge is great for dialing in the correct grind, I had a great shot after only two attempts. I think the third shot will be perfect . Start off at the recommended grind setting and adjust up or down from there. In my case, I had to adjust up a few clicks. It does use a lot of coffee but this is also my first espresso machine that uses a 58mm portafilter. The used puck is perfectly formed and actually pretty hard to get out but after a few good firm taps it comes flying out fully formed. Overall a very enjoyable experience if not for the frustration of actuating the shot buttons. Maybe I got a bad panel but if the issue persists and doesn't "break in" or I find the sweet spot, I'll have to return it. I think another reviewer reported a similar issue. ... show more

I love this machine! The milk frother can be messy, but the machine is a dream. I was worried about having to grind and tap the grounds. Guess what, the machine does everything for you.     • Brew button doesn't work frequently.
Believe everyone when they say there is something faulty about the brew button. Really difficult to get it to work. When it does, the espresso comes out really nice and creamy. The steam knob is a little finicky, too. I loved the auto tamp feature. I am returning. They really need to solve this problem ASAP, ... show more
