I like the machine itself and it was easy to assemble but the tracker for distance, calories, etc is not accurate at all. I wish I would have bought from a reputable brand. It would be nice if the tracker was accurate.

Terrible quality. Most of the metal components are rusty. Hardware was left off the water bowl, so the first time I used it, water went everywhere. Unusable at this point. Now I'm expected to somehow get this back into the packaging to return? More time wasted...buyer beware. $400+ wasted.

    • it's a great rower ... some of the features leave a bit to be desired
all-in - it's a great rower. you can find workouts online for other water rowers and take advantage. it's a lot - it's big - even folded up, it's still takes up quite a bit of space. my dude saw it and said it looked like a torture device, probably doesnt help that i leave a pair of shoes in the foot straps. it's another piece of furniture really, but i'm willing to deal because i believe rowing to be one of the best exercises we can do. but let's talk about the machine itself - it took a little while to put together, but it's wasy enough. where it falls slightly short - the monitor, total rubish. the distance is laughable, i have no idea what is actually happenning. and the foot straps is terribly uncomfortable and just somehow out of place - i don't know what to do to fix this, but wondering if i can find a wider strap of some sort that would actually hold my feet in place. the wheels that are supposed to help make it movable dont make much sense to me either, i guess maybe i am supposed to leave them looser, but basically i'm just dragging it around the room. they are rubber so it's not scratching the flooring or anything so that's good. i don't like moving it around much though because it is pretty cumbersome. for the exercise itself though, it's great. i love using a rower - arm, core, legs, cardio, all the things. a few things are a little less desireable but they in zero way effect the outcome of the exercise itself. ... show more

    • Easy to setup, use, footstraps are definitely cheap
I have big feet, and feet straps are what keep you secured to the machine when you row with it. When they break, it's hard to "pull" yourself back to the front. Sadly mine broke on the 2nd day. I tried to be easy on it, but I could feel it giving when I used it. The water sound is very soothing, not too loud and it's something nice to look at while you row!     • Decent, but could be better....
This rower has a lot going for it, and with a little better design attention, could be much better. It arrived mostly assembled, basically just have to attach the wheels. The wood is furniture grade in terms of looks, genuinely much more attractive than your average exercise machine. The rowing action works quite well, and is great exercise. But they went cheap on the seat, foot straps, and all important pump used to fill the water basin. If those three had been better, this would be a solid 4 to 5 stars. But alas, they are not, thus 3 stars is appropriate. Another thing that gives me pause is that the manufacture, AURUMBIRD, does not seem to have a web presence, therefore I'm not clear how, or where, warranty issues would be handled. In that light I suggest spending your money on a more well known brand with an accessible company that has a good long term track record. ... show more

    • Good rower - terrible directions and feet straps
I love this rower and use it every day. It's so relaxing to row with the water in the big plastic container. It sounds like I'm actually on the water. You can set a nice slow pace and go for a while. It's water, so the harder you pull, the more work required. This wasn't hard to assemble. The directions are terrible. Luckily, the illustrations allow you to mostly figure it out. I had three of the wheels on incorrectly before I fixed them. Also, the four wheels don't turn well, and the wheel you attach to the front is junk. If you use this to roll the folded rower, it will bend and or snap off. The computer display wasn't properly attached. I had to find a hex tool to fix it. Also, the sensor wasn't just sitting loose. I think I attached it to the right place. Basically, the sensor and the little screen is junk. Use your watch if you have a fitness app that can track rowing. The pump is, you guessed it, junk as well. Even when fully charged, it only pumps for a minute and then stops. Getting the pump to work in the first place was challenging. I had to get water in the tube, crimp it to keep the water in the suction part, and then lift the tube so it was inverted. When I turned on the pump, it finally primed it. The little spout on the end comes out all the time and it's just a messy business. This did not come with water purification tabs. Get some and add them immediately or else you'll have nasty water in side in a month. Overall, it's a solid rower and I love using it. It's challenging, to say the least. What this needs is better directions and QA if the company wants to offer a five-star product. ... show more

This rower provides great exercise. I was thrilled that assembly was minimal and easy. The rower works well and provides a goid workout. The seat could be better and the footstraps are chintzy but otherwise good piece of equipment.
