  • Undependable Product, Phenomenal Customer Service
Installation was simple. Initially, product worked flawlessly, then the screen would not turn on when plugged to my phone for Android Auto. Everything was working except the screen. I figured out that when I pressed the home button & reset the Boot Logo, it would restart and work fine, but doing that is annoying as it would randomly need that to be done. Then, the unit wouldn't power up after a few months. I checked all of my connections and found nothing wrong. When I unplugged the ATOTO harness in the back of the radio and plugged it back in, it started as it should. This has happened a few times as well as the Android Auto needing the Boot Logo changed still happening occasionally. I am waiting to hear back from ATOTO. **11/19/2021 Atoto sent software updates to correct the issues which they state were due to cold weather. Temperature since purchase hasn't dropped below 45f. Installed software updates and unit no longer displays. Shows lines as if screen fried. Music from phone plays when connected, but no radio or navigation access. Requested a replacement or refund.** **11/20/2021 Atoto Customer Service is exceptional as they respond rather quickly, considering distance and time difference. Atoto has sent another file to upload, stating it was an "update failure". With their instructions, I did as described several times with no change. The unit is still bricked. I have again asked for a replacement or refund.** **11/21/2021 Atoto has agreed to replace my radio with a new one, hopefully with updates installed to avoid a repeat of issues. I must say their Customer Service is still exceptional.** **11/30/2021 Replacement Radio received **12/02/2021 Replacement radio installed. Powered up and worked as it should. I received an email from ATOTO with a link to DL to update the radio I just received. This radio is now stuck on the Boot Screen. Email sent to ATOTO again. **12/03/2021 Unable to correct replacement radio issues. The issue with this one started after attempting a software update. **12/05/2021 Another replacement to be sent, this time they upgraded to an S8. Awaiting confirmation. **12/05/21 Installed replacement S8 Standard Gen 2. Had to purchase a dash kit, but figured with an upgraded radio, would be worth it. This unit powered up and works as should. Had a time getting the phone and radio to pair via bluetooth and finally did after several resets and restarts. This sound quality is well above the S7. ... show more

  • Outstanding Performance, Value and Customer Service!
I bought a quirky little PT Cruiser GT a couple of months ago. One of the more annoying quirks was the single-DIN radio, which just wasn't gonna cut it. I wanted a retractable or removable touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Sirius XM, steering wheel controls, bluetooth, and a backup camera. After doing tons of research into the name brands and coming up empty, I happened across this little jewel on Prime Day! It checked every box, except that the screen was fixed, but also 1" larger than the largest retractable available, so I was okay with it. As far as the name ATOTO went, well, even with having to purchase the remote, backup camera, and Sirius XM tuner separately, my total investment came in under $300, so I got over my brand envy pretty quick! Pros - super-responsive and fast Linux-based touchscreen interface; superior CarPlay performance, outstanding sound and features for the money; customizable background and buttons; optional remote is RF, not infrared, and the volume adjustment wheel is awesome; Cons - screen sticks out a bit far from the dash for my taste, and I wish it was more adjustable without having to use a screwdriver; finicky connection to the Sirius XM tuner, occasionally requiring turning the car off and back on. Now for the customer service. My unit had a problematic satellite tuner jack. It wouldn't maintain connection unless I held it in place. I figured, no problem, I'll just send it back to Amazon and get another. Well, at the time, Amazon did not have a replacement available, so they referred me to the manufacturer. I thought to myself, oh great. Ridden this rodeo before, blah blah blah, okay I'll try it but probably won't get anywhere with them. Boy, was I wrong! "Lavender" from China replied right away and patiently walked me through troubleshooting and attempted fixes until it was determined to be a problem with the unit, without a doubt. Lavender had a new replacement unit shipped to me, I returned the defective unit to their facility in China for inspection and was promptly reimbursed the shipping charges. The whole process was a bit clunky, but Lavender was super responsive and patient and responded to my emails as promptly as possible, given the time difference between the eastern US and China. As far as the replacement unit goes, the satellite jack works just fine, but occasionally a little glitch occurs when starting the vehicle, which is remedied by a restart. So, it's still not perfect, but the overall quality and value are still outstanding, even at the non-Prime Day price. I have already referred a friend, who has since purchased the exact same setup as I did (also for a PT Cruiser, lol). In the end, I have what I wanted in a touchscreen radio at a price that I couldn't have imagined, and ATOTO's outstanding customer service helped to ensure my satisfaction. Kudos to Lavender and ATOTO! ... show more

  • Unable to provide replacement
I received my unit earlier today, installed and the touch screen has been unresponsive. I've power cycled it, unplugged and plugged it in, restarted the ignition. Nothing. I reached out to customer service to ask for a replacement unit as mine was obviously DOA, and they would only offer me a refund even though its still up for sale. They said that they weren't able to replace it. Interesting. Would have been a good fit for my car. EDIT: ATOTO team reached out to me to offer a replacement. Their customer service seems to be on top of replying, but their instructions are very unclear and often filled with grammatical issues that make them unreadable. I appreciate the effort but it seems as if the team isn't really interested in selling a product that works, just more interested in seeming like a customer friendly company. With that said, the product mostly works as advertised. The touch screen isn't the most responsive, but carplay works great. I wish the screen could get a bit more dim at night time too. The current issue I'm having is that 1 out of every 10 times I start the car the radio won't turn on until I unplug it from the back of the unit and plug it back in. ... show more
