Extremely poor detail and visibility at higher power, LRF is substandard and will not detect animals beyond 600 yards which makes onboard ballistic calculator impossible to use. Bought this optic to dispatch predators on my Cattle Ranch, but never even put rings on it, since I couldn’t even get it to function as designed mounted by itself in a tripod. May work for some people that don’t shoot anything further that 300 yards, folks that need something to reach out beyond 800 Do Not Buy an ATN. Customer service is incompetent and was unable to answer simple technical questions without a long pause after every question because they are either reading out of a manual or a computer screen to come back with ridiculous answers. Gave this no name company a shot because of all the advertising and YouTube videos claiming how good they work, obviously were given the optic just to get positive reviews.

Terrible, this thing freezes up where you can’t do anything but a hard reset to turn it off. Image quality is terrible as well. Seems like it’s not possible to get any help to get this resolved.

I've been running the ATN THOR 5 for a few months now on my night hunting setup, and I have to say, it's really nice and works great. From the moment I mounted it, I was impressed with how crisp and detailed the thermal imaging is. The sensor delivers incredible clarity, picking up heat signatures at ranges I never thought possible with this level of detail also at this price. Whether it's coyotes at 300 yards or hogs further out, everything pops in stunning high-def thermal, way better than my older gear. The built-in laser rangefinder is a huge win. It ranges out to 1000 yards reliably, and pairing it with the ballistic calculator makes holdovers super simple, no more guessing or fiddling with external apps. Zeroing was a breeze with the one-shot system; I was dialed in after just a couple shots. The smooth zoom keeps the image sharp even when cranked up, and the recoil-activated video recording captures everything perfectly for reliving those epic shots. Battery life is solid, I'm getting 10-14 hours on a charge, and the USB-C recharge is super convenient in the field. The interface is intuitive once you spend a little time with it, and features like custom reticles, Wi-Fi streaming, and the overall rugged build make it feel premium without being overly complicated. No major issues so far, it's held zero through recoil, weather, and rough handling. If you're in the market for a high-performance thermal scope that punches way above its weight in features and image quality, the THOR 5 is absolutely worth itfor its price point. Highly recommend, I'm thrilled with mine!
