Got this bookshelf for our apartment to fit mine and my partner's books. With five shelves, it comfortably fits the books we keep in the house (minus the collection I have in storage :p). It was fairly easy to put together and took me about forty minutes to assemble. Living in AK makes getting things like this difficult. I was pretty excited to find bookshelves that had very specific dimensions in this price point that could ship to AK. The construction is particle board, the same stuff you would get buying from a box store. It's not great, but it's what I expected. Assembly was pretty quick - DONT use power tools to put these together. They are too powerful and can easily rip through the particle board. While buildings are meant to sway at times to endure earthquakes I don't think this bookcase is supposed to. I also enjoyed how half of the wooden dowels I received were cut in half. Wonder how much the company saved by doing that. Another wonderful feature that I discovered was the cam locks shattering when you turned them to secure the bookshelf together. This is a nice sturdy bookcase that went together pretty easily. The only thing is one of the cam locks were bent, and trying to straighten it with a pair of plyers I broke it, and there are no spare parts in case you loose or damage something.

One thunderbolt quad drive with 33 newtons and it snapped like a deceased branch. It will not last more than other types of wood and is perhaps bottom 30 percentile when it comes to furry-neat fixtures. Also, rods are too thick and heavy compared to best, super sound, solid wood.
