It’s a nice little self to hold your games. The games need to sit on it just right or they well fall. It is not the most strife self so if someone or a pet may crash into it a lot it might not be the best. The self is a cheeper plastic, but it holds a lot of games. I have Xbox, ps3, and DVD disks on mine. If you want a cheep way to organize your games it is a good option. ... show more

If you're old, like me, you have a steadily growing collection of DVDs and Blu-rays destined to become as obsolete as we are someday. But for now, we need a place to store our precious collection, and this shelf is absolutely the best value for cost that you're gonna find. I will warn you that not everything you need to assemble this is included. The instructions state that all you need is a Philips head screwdriver. What they fail to mention is that you also need a degree in engineering, OR a third hand, neither of which come in the box. I also personally recommend a strong adult beverage, and a distinct lack of children in the area you choose to assemble this, as there is a high likelihood of strong language. Once you've managed to get the crazy thing put together though, it's great! Lightweight, sturdy enough for it's purpose, and attractively low-profile. I DO recommend anchoring it to the wall still, especially if you have kids, pets, or a clumsy spouse. I rent, so I just used a heavy-duty command hook to anchor mine instead of putting holes in the drywall. That should be more than enough to keep things upright. Definitely a great purchase, and I'll probably order another one if my collection gets any bigger. Just, next time, I know to bribe a friend into lending me their hands for a bit! ... show more

Very quick and easy to install. It holds a lot of DVDs, so I'm very pleased with that. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I feel like the quality could be a bit better, or at least the bottom of it a little sturdier. Other than that, it's worked very well.

Putting this together was quite simple. Took maybe 20 minutes by myself and I'm the guy that cannot put together IK*A type stuff even if my life depended on it. A second set of hands for putting it together could be helpful, but isn't necessary. As long as you temper your expectations on this, you'll be quite happy. As always, you get what you pay for, so this is excellent at the current price point ($15). Anything more than that and the Overall rating would certainly go down. It tends to be a little wobbly, so definitely load it from the bottom to help stabilize it. If you have box sets those work best. This will be a very decent stop gap for my movie overflow until I can find a better solution. ... show more

Being fair, I'd like to say the positives outweigh the negatives. With the positives, it displays well and it is a good height and the 5-tier gives good storage capabilities. The average row manages to fit 18 standard DVDs. The negatives is it is flimsy and does wobble a lot and the finish is easily scratched, I opened mine out of the box and was scratched and slightly damaged but configured it to hide it. My advise is to place the box sets at the bottom to give it a solid base to keep it in place and stop it from wobbling. On a neutral note, the dividers can be either good or a hindrance. If trying to finish certain collections, leaving the divider off can give you an extra slot to fit a 19th dvd. If transitioning to a different set then the divider helps. Overall it is what I was looking for to help clear out my closet and give extra space ... show more

For the price it's not bad. Instructions were lacking just pictures. But after doing the bottom level it's just rinse and repeat. I comes with the wrench needed to put it together which was nice. My complaint is that it is rather flimsy. Pushing on the side will rock it back and forth easily. It does come with screws to bolt it to the wall which will fix this problem but no good if you live in apartment or have paneling walls. I'd leave off the spacers in the middle of the shelves and it will add five extra spaces for dvds. Overall not bad, you get what you pay for. Might be cheaper to build one out of wood. ... show more

It's a neat little shelf, it's definitely not very stable but it works for what I need it for. It's also pretty cheap so not a huge loss and if you can mount it to the wall behind it, it would probably be very stable.
