This 16 shelving unit is perfect for our VHS, DVD, CD collections. It is sturdy, looks great and holds a lot. The color Amber Pine is very nice. I don't know why so many bad reviews, it's perfect. We just ordered another to fit our entire collection. Buy it, it's great.

Yeeeaaaaahhhhhh pretty good overall. My one big complaint is the pegs and the shelves. They're ridiculous compared to other DVD shelves on amazon. The plastic begs fall out EXTREMELY easily. I mean, if you put something on a shelf, the minor shock of moving the shelf will almost always knock a peg out of place somewhere on this build. Just super flimsy and cheap. The fix is to MAKE SURE you know exactly where you want your shelves forever, and glue the begs into place. Also, the shelves dont have a divot cut into them for the pegs to rest into. Just flat shelves. Every other DVD shelf I ever bought had divots cut out, making the shelves much to easy to move. With that being said, this is actually a sturdy build for the money. I like the color, and the building process was much more simple than other DVD shelves. I would buy these again, but please consider you will absolutely 100% need glue to hold those pegs into place. ... show more

    • Complete Garbage - Amazon Should Ban It

Waste of time and money. pieces of the wood lament were chipping off as I took it out of the box. as you assemble it screws will fall out despite how tight or loose they are. parts are not labeled which make the bare bones instructions borderline useless. as I was standing up one half of the assembled unit 1 board cracked and another just snapped. I had to throw the whole thing out and I am now out nearly $100 when you factor in taxes. If you read this review and still buy this product you deserve all the misery it brings. it chips, cracks, scratches and breaks under the slightest use. Total garbage and a complete waste of my time and money. The one saving grace is I did not have the chance to put items of value on it since I am confident it would have collapse and damaged them. in my opinion this product is so bad that Amazon should step in and ban it from the site. I'd give it zero stars but that isn't an option. ... show more

    • Looks good, solid pieces, but sloppily cut.

Pros: looks good, the backing panels are thicker and sturdier than most others. Cons: the shelf pins are very loose, need to be glued in, and the backing panels are barely wide enough to stay in the grooves, making the whole thing wobbly. Definitely need to screw it to the wall.

Does not hold as many as stated. About 350, not over 400. Simulated wood looks nice. Kind of cheaply made, but I expected that. Kind of disappointed that there wasn't a type of solid back piece. They are all slotted and do not help make it any sturdier. Overall though, it's a nice shelf.
