Design is clean and looks great vertically on both sides of my tv. Difficult to mount with the screw holes behind the cross bars. Would be nice if they had included bolt head screws so you could use a socket wrench. If you have an angled screwdriver it’s easy enough.

For pretty much my entire existence on this planet, I have stored my physical media in floor-standing shelves or cabinets. It took me 40 years to realize how much more practical a wall-mount storage system would be. The primary disadvantage of floor-standing storage is that it's so difficult to see and access whatever you put on the bottom shelves. I was always frustrated by that, but I just dealt with it. Until now... One day as I was browsing through the movie collection stored in my media cabinet, I thought to myself "Gee, I sure wish I could move all these movies I have on the bottom shelves up more so I could actually see what's down there." But alas, this was not an option since each shelf had reached max capacity. I knew I was going to need extra storage eventually for that very reason, but my immediate thought was that I'd have to replace the cabinet with a bigger one. That's when it occurred to me that "hey, maybe I should just mount more shelves over it!" I could already smell the Nobel Prize headed my way for this brief moment of genius. I chose these "You Have Space" shelves because I liked the minimalist and narrow design. I bought 4 of them and they fit perfectly in my space. No joke, these shelves were almost life changing. It is so much easier now to look through my collection without bending down and dealing with sliding doors. Movies are more accessible and easier to reach too. I wasn't a fan of the aesthetics at first, but now I actually think it looks kinda cool. Not the eye-sore I thought it would be. Assembly was so easy I didn't even need the instructions. You just screw in two brackets to the frame and that's it. Mounting it to the wall was super easy as well, and I really appreciated that a mini-level was included. My standard level was too wide so it came in really handy. However, I don't like the style of drywall anchors included. They are metal, which technically is stronger than plastic, but they don't expand like plastic anchors. I mounted one of these shelves to a stud, but the other 3 I decided to use my tried and true Toggler Snap-Skru anchors that "pop and lock" into drywall. They are also rated to hold up to 79 lbs, which is well above what these shelves require even when fully stocked. The metal anchors might be fine, but I just didn't trust them. As others have mentioned, it can be tricky to reach the mounting holes with a screwdriver or drill, since you only have about 4 inches of space to work with. But it's also not THAT tricky. It's awkward somewhat, but I had no issues when using a regular screwdriver or a drill, as long as I used a long screwdriver bit. I think some people are mounting the brackets to the wall first, then trying to attach the frame after, and I think that will just make your life harder. It's much easier to assemble the whole thing first, then start leveling and marking out your pilot holes. In conclusion, these are 5-star shelves. But I deducted a star for the price, which, let's be honest, is ridiculous. These shelves are essentially a few hollow steel rods welded together. That's it. The total cost of buying 4 of these was about what I would have paid for another wood cabinet with sliding glass doors that holds the same number of movies as 4 of these shelves. That's insane. But I couldn't find other wall-mounted options that were similar to these, so I just gave in and paid the price (begrudgingly). In my mind I paid for convenience, but not quality or long-term durability. I mean, they seem sturdy enough and movies aren't particularly heavy, so I don't see these failing anytime soon, if ever. But I think the price is twice what they're worth, and for that reason I can't give these a perfect rating. ... show more

I really like these DVD wall mounts. They look great and get the job done. The mounting brackets could have been designed a little better as it is difficult to line up a screwdriver (or drill driver) perpendicular to the wall screws (which were not included I might add) because the bracket is directly behind the unit. That having been said, I really like these units and recommend them. Improvement suggestions: 1. Include wall mounting hardware. 2.     • Decent but overpriced
For the price of roughly $28 a shelf, if you can call it that, is a tad overpriced. The shelf is all hollow metal, but doesn't have a base for anything to sit on. What it does is let's the elongated item to kind of wedge itself to the back of the wall which prevents the item from falling. I swear this "shelf" HAS to be vertical and not horizontal because, well, you'll see if you get it. But the whole thing is just spot welded pieces of metal. My welder friend told me it would only cost about 10 to buy the metal and build it. Sadly, no one else has these types of shelving thought, so in a monopolistic market, you have to suck it up and buy it if you want the look. 🤔🤦♂️ ... show more
