  • Hold up, good quality
Size: 1 Burner
This just keeps going. Gets plenty hot to heat up 1 inch thick material. Been using for 4 months with no issues. The insulation is holding up to my surprise.

  • Good forge for the price
Size: 2 Burner
This is really a good forge for the price. Compact and easy to carry around, and it definitely gets good and hot. Good construction all around. Very easy to set up and use, and ready to go for those smaller projects. I really don't have anything negative to say after using it for several hours, and it's just a few minor things that to me stop it from being a 5 star plus forge. ... show more

  • Great value
Size: 1 Burner
I bought this to try the hobby out about 9 months ago or more and I definitely chose the right forge. Very easy setup and good quality. I have made multiple knives and several metal projects with this and had 0 issues, I recommended it to a friend who has had a similar experience. No issues with heating etc. You WILL need to buy rigidizer before using the first time and if you want to extend the life of the blanket, you will need refractory cement. I did not use the refractory and mine is still in good shape after heavy use. I use it 2 or 3 times a week between 2-5 hours at a time. ... show more

  • "It's a good product, but it has its flaws."
Size: 1 Burner
This propane gas forge has both advantages and disadvantages, and I’d like to share them with you. Advantages: 1. It has doors that allow you to keep the furnace closed, thus rapidly increasing the temperature inside. 2. It is very light, which makes it easy to transport without getting tired. 3. It is small, allowing you to use it in confined spaces. (Avoid using it in enclosed spaces). Disadvantages: 1. Being very small, you cannot heat large metals. (If you want to temper large knives, you won’t be able to do it in this forge). 2. The forge is designed to work with small metals. (If you want to use this forge to temper knives, I would recommend small knives, such as Pettys or blade blanks. Also, knives with only a tang). 3. Keeping both furnace doors open results in significant heat loss, so I would only recommend having one door open. For blacksmithing and tempering knives of 12-15 inches, I would recommend a two-burner furnace. It’s a forge that, for the price, is almost not worth it. I prefer to spend a few more dollars on a two-burner forge rather than waste my money again on this gas forge. ... show more

  • Great forge for the money!
Size: 1 Burner
The media could not be loaded. This is my second knife, first with an inexpensive forge. I rigged a steel bolt to hold my blade and normalized the knife 2 times before the quench. This forge was very easy, I bought rigidizer and coated the insulation, worked great! Following YouTube videos, I used a magnet to test heat, and followed instructions. Definitely worth the money, just be careful when lighting the forge, turn it low, light while standing to side, turn it up. Perfect for amateur knife makers. ... show more
