I've been using these for over a year now and they have served me very well. You just have to understand their limitations- the main one being that you don't want to drop them on the floor. The other is that the max weight is 27.5 lbs. So yes, if you're very strong and you like going to failure, you might be a little disappointed. However, if you're an average person like me and just want to get in a decent home workout, these could be perfect for you. The adjustment mechanism is easy to use and the weight increments make a lot of sense. They start out with 2.5-lb increases with the lower weights and jump up to 5-lb increases at the higher end. You can do anything you would do with normal dumbbells- bench presses, shoulder presses, curls, triceps extensions, rows, flys, lunges, etc. The plates do move around a little bit, which can be scary at first. However, I've never had one fall out on me and over time you will develop trust in the equipment. I do feel like they aren't perfectly evenly weighted, meaning that you'll want the two red bar things aligned when you're doing your exercises. Maybe that's all in my head. In my mind those things are a small price to pay for the space and money you save with these. Here's my setup- I have a squat rack and associated bar/plates for heavy, going-to-failure type of workouts and then I have these in the corner for high-rep stuff or for when I'm not going to failure and don't feel like swapping out plates all the time. Yes, I know that's a weird, lazy thing to avoid when I'm trying to work out, but that's how the human mind works sometimes. These really make my home gym a lot more versatile and they take up almost no space. The price is very low to compare to other expensive one out there , but you just have to think about how much it would cost to buy all the dumbbells you would want. Then you might buy something like a 12.5-lb dumbbell not knowing if you'll ever actually use that one or not. Also, think about how much a monthly gym membership costs, plus the associated transportation. Not to mention the time wasted going back and forth to the gym. If you get these plus a good quality bench (don't go cheap on the bench), you're going to be able to stay in shape if you're motivated to do so.

These are great, very well designed and easy to use. I’m a runner and use them to cross train. Very easy to adjust and don’t take up much room. With these and a foldable bench I have a complete gym that only takes up a small space in the corner of my bedroom. Had to stop going to the gym due to Coronavirus and this setup works just as good. Great product, I would give it 10 stars. My wife is 69 and I’m 71, we have been lifting and running for 35 years so we know what works and what is junk.These adjustable dumb bells are well designed and very compact. The quality and price are more than I expected when I ordered them. Thank you for a really great product that actually works as described.

So Happy to have found these during quarantine. If you can grab them in stock I would recommend! Note the weight is 27lbs PER dumbbell! This confused me at first but the weight shown on the dumbbell is not lbs, but rather kg. To convert to Lbs basically double the number shown (ie, 2.5 kg is about 5lbs and so on... 12.5 kg is a little over 25lbs). Easy to adjust the weight and seem sturdy overall. Great space saver!!! The weight adjustments are plenty heavy for me to do basic lifting however I am only 5’2 110lbs and looking to tone up; if you are really into lifting heavy I would get the next level or two up. I ordered two dumbbells and both came well packaged. Shipping was about 1 week. I only gave 4 stars as one of the plastic base holders was cracked/damaged during transit however the seller was very responsive and is shipping out a replacement base when they can. Will update review if it comes.

This are super easy to use. I have the older bowflex (which goes up to 20lbs- which is fine for me since I am a senior) and with those you have to adjust both sides of the weights. No big deal but here you just need to do one. This helps me since I do online personaa training and the faster I change the weights the faster I get to the next exercise. These are well made and a super value for the money. They are in kilos so the weights won't be exactly the 5,10,15, etc pounds. Each kilo is 2.2 lbs so the 2.5 would be about 5 1/2lbs, etc. This is not a drawback just wanted to give a heads up

So let me start off by saying the value for the money, and the ability on how easy it is to use make these dumbbells amazing. You only have to adjust one side not both sides and it’s very quick and easy you can do it with one hand. I had the dumbbells for about one month and one of the plates started to stick when changing the pin. So I called the company and they sent me a brand new one free of charge. So far I’m happy then I will update later on Update: the weight mechanism got stuck contacted the seller abs she shipped me out a new one ! I’m very happy with this seller abs her service ! 5 stars

At age 89 I am simply interested in maintaining my fitness at home while avoiding a return to my fitness center. This single unit is perfect when coupled with my new fitness bench. Utilizing 5 KG setting works for my 143 pound body curls; the 10 KG setting works 90% of the remaining weight exercises I complete on my 5 day workout regimen. I am not a body builder. I simply want to be able to continue to move about without pain or shortness of breath. Concerning the quality of the product I find it to be quite easy to adjust the selected weight. The product arrived double boxed! The inside box contained protective form fitted foam. I was pleasantly surprised that the delivery was so swift! Concerning the need to purchase a second barbell I, personally, find this unnecessary for my routines. However, if I was obsessed to be able to perform all my exercises alternating arms then it would be necessary to purchase a second unit.

I received my order about a week ago and found one of the two weights I ordered, a bottom weight holding tray (plastic) was partially broken. Since the weights were not damaged, instead of contacting Amazon to send the whole unit back for replacement, I contacted the vendor directly to see if they were willing to send the replacement bottom tray. I thought that was a win-win situation. The vendor responded promptly and I just received the replacement tray yesterday via DHL express service (from China). I haven't really used the weights yet, LOL. But these are actually 2nd sets of these weights I ordered. I bought a set in last summer for my son and I really liked how it felt. They feel very comfortable to hold and the weight distribution is awesome. I have to say it's a bit pricey but I think it's the value if they lasts. Only time will tell. The locking mechanism seem to work well and hopefully they will not wear out to be dangerous. But so far so good.

This weight set is not so good for the US market since the weight is marked in kilos. There is a conversion table, but that is not so practical
