Surprisingly easy to assemble! If you’re using the base, no tools are needed. Every part is labeled on the actual part and the parts are packaged very well. You may need a step stool because it is TALL and the base is large. Built it in the basement bc I’m surprising my son with it for Christmas, and I’m not quite sure how I’m going to maneuver it through the house 😂 Seems very sturdy. Comes with a manual air pump because there is an inflatable cushion that goes with it. I used my electric air pump and attached the nozzles they provided and it worked well! I bought this for myself because I am an autistic adult and I needed a nice comfy space to chill in. I'm about 5'4 and 130 lbs and I actually fit in here pretty comfortably even though I do have to be curled up, I've got blankets and stuffed animals in here, and I even bought my own red fairy lights to put inside as I wasn't a fan of the bright rainbow ones it came with. It was super easy to put together, I did it all by myself (despite the instructions recommending two people) and it holds my weight pretty comfortably. I was worried about the inflatable cushion as some reviews said it wasn't good quality, so I bought a round cushion of the same size just in case. I haven't even used it because the one the tent came with hasn't given me any issues. Overall I am so happy I bought this!!! Just a warning if you get motion sick easily, it does sway a bit, so if you start feeling sick, either keep the door/window open so you can see outside the tent to re-calibrate your brain, or hang it on the highest point of the chain to reduce the swinging. This tent/swing chair is wonderful. I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my 8yr old granddaughter. She wants to spend all of her waking moments during winter break in it. As soon as she finishes breakfast in the morning, she climbs in and only wants to come out to eat, although I'm sure that if she were allowed, she would even eat meals in there too! I decided to go ahead and take a chance despite a few unfavorable reviews about the bottom mat deflating and sagging at the bottom because those reviews were more than one year ago. I thought that perhaps the manufacturer would have made improvements by this time. So far so good! The only thing that was a little difficult was getting it up to the 3rd floor apartment because the box weighed 50lbs. Everything else was a breeze, and it was together and ready in about 45 minutes or less. When put together, it looks exactly like the picture, it is large, however, and takes up one whole corner of her room. She has already decorated it with the colorful lights, her favorite stuffed animals, pillow, and blanket. We even sat in it together while she read me a story. Such a great bonding experience. The material seems very durable, and there is no worry regarding her safety even when she spends or swings a little. Her satisfaction is well worth every penny spent. ... show more

The stand doesn't fit the tent it keeps the tent at and angle and it also didn't let it hang free. I recommend buying the tent but buying a different stand.

It was easy to set up and was able to do it myself. My son absolutely loves it. It’s super comfortable. I was scared it would break if I laid in it and to my surprise it held good! My son likes swinging in circles and it’s firm. Comes with a pump to blow up the plastic cushion for the bottom. It deflates a lot so you’ll need the pump so don’t throw it away! This is one of the best things we have gotten for our kiddos. I have a 9 year old, 6 year old, and 4 year old. All three of them can fit in the tent together safely.
