On amazon a skein was running about $4-$5 bucks so three skein was running 16. Bucks after three kits and spending 40 bucks on a few skeins i bought this then put them all onbobbins in a drawer now when i run out i have plenty. BEWARE: The color codes do seem to match the DMC color codes, but not perfectly. In general, the shades are very close but not always the exact same, so be cautious. These seem to run slightly lighter than DMC thread, but with so many shades, it’s not really a problem. I attached a photo showing how they look compared to their DMC counterpart. Wow! You wanna talk about a lot of colors! I find the thread durable and doesn’t not very easily. I love the colors. I won’t be able to buy embroidery thread for the rest of my life!!! as far as a comparison between DMC and this thread, this thread is just slightly lighter in color than DMC in corresponding number. Wowsers. I actually crochet with embroidery floss so when I tell you I’m loving the quality I mean just wow. The colors are so vibrant. I’ve been looking for quality thread for a while. And since I use it to crochet, I obviously prefer to buy in bulk. Other brands I’ve tried had so many issues….. none of which you have. The only problem I have is with the packaging. And that for me does not affect your rating because it’s not a part of the actual product. I haven’t seen floss this lovely since I was a kid. Did you guys use fabric softener on it? lol it’s sooo soft, smooth and easy to work with. And the best part is every single skein is made from the same material.
