This is by far the best shower mat we have ever owned. It cleans easily (you can actually wring out the water), feels great under your feet and doesn’t acquire slim. Most important, it has a shag surface and a secure bottom so you never slip on it. I highly recommend this product.

We needed a replacement mat for our tub. We had one that had the little suction cups like octopus tentacles and it was all just rubber all over and nothing unique about it. In fact, aside from sticking to the tub, the top aspect that you actually step on had minimal protection against slipping because it seemed like you could skip on the pad itself regardless. It also would pool water under it and water would sit under the little tentacles that would not always stick and it just got slippery and became more unsafe to use it than to just throw it out completely! So, we bought this one as a replacement. And let me just say, this bath mat exceeds our expectations. The quality exceeds the price point. It's superior and wonderful quality. For about 10 bucks, I got a mat that exceeded in quality my previous more expensive one, and it actually serves the purpose it was bought for. It also looks very nice in the bath (we got the grey color because we don't want various body washes or hair treatments some of us use to cause obvious and weird discolorations possibly on a white or beige one) and it also stands and doesn't move despite not having the little octopus suction cups that our previous one had like 30 of but failed to still maintain its place .... And it feels AMAZING and cushiony on your feet. As someone previously mentioned, you can almost use it to give your feet a gentle scrape and massage in the shower like you'd receive getting a pedicure.... Though I haven't used it for this purpose, i can see it serving this purpose as well. Overall, it feels like luxury quality, it stands in place, and it is so soft and drains well. If I did not know what I bought it for and someone asked me how much I thought this mat cost after trying it, I'd say it feels and looks like a 35-45 dollar bath mat you'd find at like bed, bath, and beyond or elsewhere. IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT, BUY IT, DON'T HESITATE. IT'S GREAT AND AT THIS PRICE POINT IT'S SUCH A STEAL!! I got the smallest one because I have a traditional tub and where I primarily stand to shower is a relatively small, confined space and I don't do splits in the tub or crazy moves where I needed it to cover from faucet to back wall of the tub lengthwise. So the smallest size was perfect size for me! I don't write many long reviews but I feel this product deserves it!

The mat does not slip in my shower. That's good . And I found it very comfortable to step on. My one criticism is that it is not sufficiently porous. The water pools around the mat which is directly over the drain in my shower. My drain is in the center of the shower where I stand. If your drain is at the end of the shower and the mat doesn't cover it, it should drain adequately. UPDATE: Nov. 19. I changed my mind. I have used this for about a week now. I now like this and recommend it. I does not slip. It is also comfortable to the soles of my feet. It does slow drainage a little if place over the drain. (my drain is in the center of the shower where I stand and where the mat is placed.) However, the standing water is not an issue. Perhaps 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch at most. I have become used to it and find it is not an issue. I tried another mat made of vinyl with suction cups on the bottom. It was good but once the soap got onto the top surface, it became dangerously slippery. I prefer this shower mat.

Very pleased with this tub mat for our shower. Provides a good sense of security from slipping on our textured shower base, with no movement at all, and the loofah texture feels nice on my feet with a bit of cushioning as well. Very nice quality product. Water flows right through the mat. Although I haven't been using it for very long, it seems to rinse nicely and dries overnight by hanging over the shower door. Will begin washing by hand with warm soapy solution once a week to prolong it's life. Highly recommended.

My tub's glaze was peeling off and needed something to cover it up without suction cups that would make it worse. This was perfect. Looks great after 6 months, feels great on feet. Totally non-slip.

I debated over this so long because I wanted a shower mat that looked like pebbles. The reviews for those said they were slippery which was what I wanted to avoid. I was also leery about the "suction cups" those had so I chose this mat hoping it would look kind of like sand for my beach themed bathroom. It's a little more yellowish in color but still gives me the look I was after. More impressive though is that it came out of the box and unrolled into a perfectly flat position immediately. There was no chemical smell so no need to ventilate the room. There are no worrisome suction cups and although the mat looks like raffia it is actually rubbery and clings tightly to the shower floor. There is no slippage on the floor and the mat is soft and gripping on the feet. So it's very secure. As you can see, mine covers the drain but the water flows right through the mat with no back up. I'm pleased with the choice and would highly recommend for looks, safety and comfort. My only concern will be the ease of cleaning. I've only had it a few days. I dropped a blob of conditioner on it and had to really rub it with my foot while showering to get it to wash off. I also have very long hair which I'm sure will become entangled in the mat over time and I don't know how easy that will be to remove. Time will tell. My shower basin is 55 L by 27 W and the mat is 47 L x 16. I wish the mat was wider but it looks nice centered in the basin. It wasn't much more expensive than other mats I was viewing. I guess if it gets too dirty or I have a hard time washing my long hair out, I won't be too traumatized. Don't expect to use this in the bath. It's for showering only because it would peel up and float in a tub full of water. 5 stars for now. Update: No mold or mildew since purchase but this mat is a big hair collector. It's difficult to get my long hair out of it to clean it. I had to sit down and manually pull the entangled long hair out of it. Still love it though. I also wish it was wider.
