This rug was purchased as a bedside area rug for the master bedroom. It is very soft but the pile is VERY thin. Not thick like the video shows a lady running her fingers thru the pile. The whole rug is wafer thin including the backing on the rug. While I'm a little disappointed in the look of the rug..the family dog seems happy to be sleeping on it. So it's not a total waste. You get what you pay for as they say.

Out of the box the quality of this rug isn’t bad for the money. It’s soft and has a thick deep fluffy shag to it. You’ll love it until it comes time to clean it. Even with the brushes set at the highest setting, as far from the rug as possible, if you leave the vacuum in one spot for more than a moment, the threads start getting stripped from the rug. I have two bald spots already. Subsequently I bought a decent brand Dust Buster to clean it. The shag is so thick and deep that next to nothing leaves it grip. Finally I took it outside and beat it with a broom and there’s still tons of crumbs etc stuck on it that just won’t come out unless I stand and pick them all out by hand. Also, when using a vacuum on this rug, the top fuzzy layer is not attached the the underlay section on the back, so it gets all twisted out of shape. You’ll know what I mean when you try to vacuum this thing. For $40 it’s a nice rug that will get trashed in three months tops and you’ll throw it away. Spending $40 every three months of course isn’t ideal so I’d maybe spend a little more and get something better.
