Update! I have had this pillow mask for a week now and wanted to add to my review. I added some rose oil to the one that was for my mom for her birthday and she loved it. However, for mine I tried something new. I opened up the zippers and put a drop each of rosemary oil, bulgarian rose oil, peppermint oil (and a drop of lavender oil if the buds start to fade, but I haven't had that happen yet) and I had to share this recipe because it was not only relaxing but also invigorating. Just ten minutes of wearing it and breathing in the aromatherapy and I felt brand new! Like I hadn't been kept up all night by my toddler ;) I can't recommend trying this enough. I love how customizable this eye pillow is and how you can open it up and add more aromas to it. You can keep it simple by just using the lavender buds or you can ad any combination of oils or herbs that help you. Rosemary, rose, peppermint and lavender just go really well together and restored my zapped energy. It even felt refreshing to my eyes after the air finally hit them again when I was finished wearing it. Original review: This is everything I looked for in a lavender eye pillow and more! I almost purchased one that would have been a huge mistake. It wasn't refillable, didn't have straps and wasn't made of real silk! I lay on my side on the couch so I needed one that wouldn't fall off of my face. I am so, so glad that I saw this one in the "Customers who looked at this item also..." section because this is exactly what I wanted! I would have been pleased enough if it was real silk, refillable and had straps. But it is so much more than that. Not only does the silk outer part have a tiny little zipper to change filling, but they also included yet another zippered pouch inside which is made of muslin(sp?). On top of that, they included 3 freebies! The gel eye mask will be so soothing for my headaches and when I am hot. Also came with a bag of extra lavender buds AND a bag of extra flax seed, that way you can adjust the weight AND smell. Although the product itself smells perfectly strong enough so I don't need to put the extra in, I will happily use it when the smell starts to fade and whatnot. The strap is soft, adjustable and comfortable. The smell is perfect and exactly what I wanted. Another thing I thought was cool is that the straps that come with the gel eye patch are removeable, so you can either wear it by itself or remove the straps and put it in the silk casing. Too cool. I had an issue with the shipping but I found out today it was on the end of USPS who did not scan the item when they received it, so my tracking number only said a shipping label was created and USPS was waiting on my order. After several days, I thought the package was lost or forgotten in an Amazon warehouse. I emailed both the seller and amazon and they were both super helpful, especially Asutra. Asutra offered to send me one directly since they didn't know what was going on at the Amazon warehouse/USPS and it had been an entire week since I placed the order. They really, really love and care about their customers. Amazon was nice and offered a refund but I told them no, I'd prefer the item and they said they'd follow up in 3 days. Well they checked my tracking right before it finally registered as in my town and gave me a full refund as they thought the item was still lost. I tried to email them back in time to stop the refund since it was no longer lost, but the refund went through. They emailed me back saying not to worry about it, it was for my inconvenience and to keep the item. I am currently trying to get a hold of the seller via email to offer them the money I got refunded from Amazon. I have no desire to have this item for free as I feel Asutra should be paid for their product and their customer service to me. Plus since they offered to send me another while the original item was lost I really, really don't want to have TWO of these eye pillows for free if they happen to have sent the second one.. I want them to have their money. Sure, it was a bit worrisome not knowing where my purchase was over a week after I ordered it, but they(the seller and amazon) have more than made up for the inconvenience of that. No email back, yet, but I do hope to hear from them soon so I can settle this with them! I plan on using this product 1. during restorative yoga poses at the end of my yoga sessions, 2. during meditation, 3. for headaches & congestion, and 4. to block the light because I often have to sleep during days when my toddler keeps me up all night. It's so hard to get in a nap when the sun is glaring through my curtain into my face. I will 100% buy from this seller again. If this is their only product(I haven't checked, yet) I will buy more of these as gifts for my friends and family. I think everyone can benefit from this soft, versatile and amazing eye pillow. (Edit: Okay so they do have other products! They have yoga mat cleaning sprays, soaps, pain relieving cream and stuff like that. I am going to try their yoga mat cleaning spray and their energizing soap bar next! I do like this, especially if you’re not getting sleep, it helps relax you. However if you put any other pressure on it, you could wake up with blurred vision that takes about an hour to go away. Blocks the light, and stays on.

With my experience, I'll tell you how this has helped me sleep. Overall, the product has been very helpful for falling asleep, especially considering the recent weather. Y'see, I live in Maine. That means we're the first to see the sun in the Summer. So! That sun! Early camper these days, more than usual! I have some kind of bizarre circadian rhythm, so I wake up at around 4 AM, but as it is, I don't get up and get goin' until 7 AM. With the right conditions, this will help me fall asleep for those extra 2-3 hours. Here's a list of pros and cons: Pros: - Very Opaque, blocking all light if on correctly(see cons about bridge) - Covers Your eyes effectively, as it is weighted(see cons #1) - Aromatherapy aspect seems to be lasting! That's good, I think it really helps me. It's especially a very soothing scent, which I was surprised I liked - The seeds can be pushed back and forth through the outward fabric, so if there's an imbalance between the two eyes and it's making one eye REALLY uncomfortable, you can shift the weight - Sleeping on your back, the mask does not slide or slip, even on a loose strap setting Cons: - No way to adjust the weight . This was a bit of a letdown, because - If it's uncomfortable, the only way to fix it is adjusting the strap, or changing position - At times, side sleeping is not the most comfortable position, and - When side-sleeping, can require readjustment, as the mask can kind of slip and then the bridge is no longer covered, or the top corner will kind of move - Since the total weight can't really be adjusted, it can make the mask a little uncomfortable at times - The loose strap setting I have it at is necessary to prevent it from pressing on my face, so it keeps slipping down a little Overall, I would say that this is far better then the usual alternatives, in terms of normal fabric. I haven't tried some of the other masks with the eye cups, but I think the aromatherapy helped me specifically, so that's why I give it 4/5 stars: a little uncomfortable, but it does the job and does it well.

I purchased this eye mask as a replacement for a slightly less expensive weighted mask that was misplaced. I use it primarily to keep my eyes closed at night, as I naturally sleep with my eyes partially open. Overall, it was okay, but I liked the other one much more. Pros: silk casing, zipper opening, adjustable headband Cons: Overpowering smell, not enough weight, doesn’t contour to my face well, and —most importantly— there’s no partition between the two sides, so the weight is never evenly distributed. Ultimately, it seems overpriced for what it is. I understand that I can modify, but I didn’t really pay this price for a mask to make significant modifications.

I will rave about this product to anyone. I had NO idea my restless stay awake late nights could have a cure....I just thought that was how I was wired I’m a night owl, etc. I bought this bc I do like black out and there’s just too many sources of lights coming from our bedroom so I looked around and these had high ratings- OH MY WORD, it CHANGED MY LIFE my quality of sleep! I put these bad boys on and I’m OUT! I would seriously waste time staring around our room trying to fall asleep and these just put me to sleep it is the craziest thing....I so wish I tried these sooner I mean...I’m actually getting more sleep. Now about the actual product- I have tried masks in the past and they twist and shrink and don’t stay on and let too much light in, hence why I stopped trying to wear them. But I am SO thankful I gave it another shot because these are he BEST QUALITY ever! It comes with extra flaxseeds and lavender and the gel mask I mean amazing....totally crafted nicely I am shocked at the price to be honest these should be way more expensive. They totally block out light, they feel so comfortable on my head they don’t give you pressure headaches at all! And the zipper is smartly sow on top so it’s not in the way and it has a desperate bag inside so you can easily take it out wash the cover etc- like genious. OBVIOUSLY you think more people would create something like this because it’s a no brainer design but I haven’t found anything like it yet so- HELLO WORLD, this product is the bomb!!! You got to buy one and find out for yourself how amazing this is....total life changer for me!!!!

Some people won't like the weighted feeling. That's removable or adjustable. But if you do that you've paid extra for no reason. For everyone else this is the best mask you can get. It stays on 95% of the time unlike every other mask I've tried. So it's great for combo sleepers who switch positions throughout the night. It's also a great option for side sleeper for similar reasons. The quality seems great although I've only had it a few weeks so time will tell. The best part is the customizability to your comfort, which no other mask has. It's well priced and way cheaper than super fancy crazy masks that can go for closer to $100 while delivering the same qualities. And I even liked the scent even though I was planning on just removing that at first. But it was subtle so I figured I'd give it a try. I think it actually helps a little tbh, which is a pleasant surprise. Nice that it comes with an ice mask too. Honestly been a looong search for a sleep mask that would stay on throughout the night. So finding this has been amazing and my sleep (at least according to whoop) has been on the uptick ever since getting it.

This is my favorite type of eye mask. I first tried a similar mask years ago, bought it on impulse thinking it was silly I was getting it all. It was really similar to this but it was rectangular and just had an elastic strap to go around the head. I ended up loving it and had it for years. Eventually when that strap finally fell apart, I tried other types. One was soft but was only about 1/2 inch thick, I think I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond. Not heavy or thick enough. Another one I got was thicker and plumper but felt like it was filled with what you might fill a stuffed animal with. Still not heavy enough. My husband bought me one for Christmas... it was odd. It was kind of sculpted in such a way that there was no pressure on the eyes at all. It was also somewhat rigid so when I woke up in the morning I would have little marks on my face from the mask. I like having some pressure because I feel like somehow it keeps my eyes from becoming as dry in my sleep. I also think that my eyes look less puffy when I wake up with this type of mask. Plus it seems to calm me, (I have trouble sleeping). This one is great, just perfect. The pillow is silky and well made. The strap is nicely secured to the mask and is adjustable. It has a nice amount of filling inside. The flax conforms to the contours of the face and the lavender is awesome. The seller also includes a small packet of extra flax and lavender if you want to increase the weight of the mask or boost up the lavender fragrance. All the filling is in a separate little pouch inside the mask so you can take it out to wash the mask itself. It is just the right size and shape to keep out the light (my husband likes to watch TV as he falls asleep, which I hate). The shape of this one (because the first one was just rectangular) is definitely more effective for that purpose. I highly recommend. I actually think I might get one for my Mom. I find it funny that I have such strong feelings about an eye mask, but I really really like it. :)
