Update! I have had this pillow mask for a week now and wanted to add to my review. I added some rose oil to the one that was for my mom for her birthday and she loved it. However, for mine I tried something new. I opened up the zippers and put a drop each of rosemary oil, bulgarian rose oil, peppermint oil (and a drop of lavender oil if the buds start to fade, but I haven't had that happen yet) and I had to share this recipe because it was not only relaxing but also invigorating. Just ten minutes of wearing it and breathing in the aromatherapy and I felt brand new! Like I hadn't been kept up all night by my toddler ;) I can't recommend trying this enough. I love how customizable this eye pillow is and how you can open it up and add more aromas to it. You can keep it simple by just using the lavender buds or you can ad any combination of oils or herbs that help you. Rosemary, rose, peppermint and lavender just go really well together and restored my zapped energy. It even felt refreshing to my eyes after the air finally hit them again when I was finished wearing it. Original review: This is everything I looked for in a lavender eye pillow and more! I almost purchased one that would have been a huge mistake. It wasn't refillable, didn't have straps and wasn't made of real silk! I lay on my side on the couch so I needed one that wouldn't fall off of my face. I am so, so glad that I saw this one in the "Customers who looked at this item also..." section because this is exactly what I wanted! I would have been pleased enough if it was real silk, refillable and had straps. But it is so much more than that. Not only does the silk outer part have a tiny little zipper to change filling, but they also included yet another zippered pouch inside which is made of muslin(sp?). On top of that, they included 3 freebies! The gel eye mask will be so soothing for my headaches and when I am hot. Also came with a bag of extra lavender buds AND a bag of extra flax seed, that way you can adjust the weight AND smell. Although the product itself smells perfectly strong enough so I don't need to put the extra in, I will happily use it when the smell starts to fade and whatnot. The strap is soft, adjustable and comfortable. The smell is perfect and exactly what I wanted. Another thing I thought was cool is that the straps that come with the gel eye patch are removeable, so you can either wear it by itself or remove the straps and put it in the silk casing. Too cool. I had an issue with the shipping but I found out today it was on the end of USPS who did not scan the item when they received it, so my tracking number only said a shipping label was created and USPS was waiting on my order. After several days, I thought the package was lost or forgotten in an Amazon warehouse. I emailed both the seller and amazon and they were both super helpful, especially Asutra. Asutra offered to send me one directly since they didn't know what was going on at the Amazon warehouse/USPS and it had been an entire week since I placed the order. They really, really love and care about their customers. Amazon was nice and offered a refund but I told them no, I'd prefer the item and they said they'd follow up in 3 days. Well they checked my tracking right before it finally registered as in my town and gave me a full refund as they thought the item was still lost. I tried to email them back in time to stop the refund since it was no longer lost, but the refund went through. They emailed me back saying not to worry about it, it was for my inconvenience and to keep the item. I am currently trying to get a hold of the seller via email to offer them the money I got refunded from Amazon. I have no desire to have this item for free as I feel Asutra should be paid for their product and their customer service to me. Plus since they offered to send me another while the original item was lost I really, really don't want to have TWO of these eye pillows for free if they happen to have sent the second one.. I want them to have their money. Sure, it was a bit worrisome not knowing where my purchase was over a week after I ordered it, but they(the seller and amazon) have more than made up for the inconvenience of that. No email back, yet, but I do hope to hear from them soon so I can settle this with them! I plan on using this product 1. during restorative yoga poses at the end of my yoga sessions, 2. during meditation, 3. for headaches & congestion, and 4. to block the light because I often have to sleep during days when my toddler keeps me up all night. It's so hard to get in a nap when the sun is glaring through my curtain into my face. I will 100% buy from this seller again. If this is their only product(I haven't checked, yet) I will buy more of these as gifts for my friends and family. I think everyone can benefit from this soft, versatile and amazing eye pillow. (Edit: Okay so they do have other products! They have yoga mat cleaning sprays, soaps, pain relieving cream and stuff like that. I am going to try their yoga mat cleaning spray and their energizing soap bar next! i could not love this more. i pretty much can't fall asleep with out it. if you get anxiety, especially when falling asleep - it's such a soother. whenever i travel i bring it with me everywhere. it's not crazy heavy, some of my friends say it's too much, but if you are looking for a weighted eye mask - this is it. the elastic gets a little warn - so i have a few. i also just like getting a new one. plus, if i lose one, i need a backup. it's like taking an anti-anxiety pill everynight <3

With my experience, I'll tell you how this has helped me sleep. Overall, the product has been very helpful for falling asleep, especially considering the recent weather. Y'see, I live in Maine. That means we're the first to see the sun in the Summer. So! That sun! Early camper these days, more than usual! I have some kind of bizarre circadian rhythm, so I wake up at around 4 AM, but as it is, I don't get up and get goin' until 7 AM. With the right conditions, this will help me fall asleep for those extra 2-3 hours. Here's a list of pros and cons: Pros: - Very Opaque, blocking all light if on correctly(see cons about bridge) - Covers Your eyes effectively, as it is weighted(see cons #1) - Aromatherapy aspect seems to be lasting! That's good, I think it really helps me. It's especially a very soothing scent, which I was surprised I liked - The seeds can be pushed back and forth through the outward fabric, so if there's an imbalance between the two eyes and it's making one eye REALLY uncomfortable, you can shift the weight - Sleeping on your back, the mask does not slide or slip, even on a loose strap setting Cons: - No way to adjust the weight . This was a bit of a letdown, because - If it's uncomfortable, the only way to fix it is adjusting the strap, or changing position - At times, side sleeping is not the most comfortable position, and - When side-sleeping, can require readjustment, as the mask can kind of slip and then the bridge is no longer covered, or the top corner will kind of move - Since the total weight can't really be adjusted, it can make the mask a little uncomfortable at times - The loose strap setting I have it at is necessary to prevent it from pressing on my face, so it keeps slipping down a little Overall, I would say that this is far better then the usual alternatives, in terms of normal fabric. I haven't tried some of the other masks with the eye cups, but I think the aromatherapy helped me specifically, so that's why I give it 4/5 stars: a little uncomfortable, but it does the job and does it well.

I bought it twice. A year ago I could empty the white bag of seeds and rent a weight that suits me. They stopped that and removed a zipper. Now there is a seam there that I had to open and re-tie. Very disappointing!!!! Otherwise I would have continued to buy because my husband really liked the first one. Only they know the reasons for this. Maybe customs caused problems, maybe appeared insects there - none of these were happened to me. So, dear friend, maybe you will return the white pillow with a zipper? A customer who knows what he wants.

As a troubled sleeper this has been a must-have for getting to sleep and staying asleep. I love it so much. The first one I had I replaced after about a year just because it loses scent over time and the mask case is easy to clean, but eventually got less smooth from my face oils and the elastic weakened. I have three total, I have one for travel, the oldest one at my dad’s for when I visit, and the newest one I use every night. The weight plus the smell plus the light blocking make for a much better sleep and the fabric is so soft.
