  • Dual Screen powerhouse with excellent displays.
Style: i7-12700H | RTX 3060
Dual Screen powerhouse with excellent high-quality displays. The second screen works very well and speeds up work projects requiring dual documents and dual software applications. I use with simultaneous Word, Powerpoint and excel on work projects and the dual screens really speed up the process compared to single screen laptops. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Perfect!
Style: i7-12700H | RTX 3070Ti
The pc met my expectations. The second screen requires some patience, sometimes it's kind of tricky to use, since this comes with Windows 11 remember to update it. It works perfectly for games, like Dota or LoL, I haven't tried for FPS games though. I also use it for video editing software like Davinci Resolve, it's very promising. There is fan mode dedicated for performance, be aware that's a lot of sound coming from the pc, in case you're looking for quiet pc it comes with 2 more modes to make it silent. The screen is perfect, it's very customizable, no more comments. ... show more

  • Game Changer for Someone who Needs or Wants Two Screens
Style: i7-10870H | RTX 3070
This laptop is a game changer for someone who needs or wants 2 screens. Both screens are 4K. The top screen is OLED and the bottom screen, although not OLED, is bright and clear. I have the model with the 10th. generation i7 and the RTX3070 GPU. Although I probably would have preferred a 12th. generation CPU for greater performance and potentially battery life, the laptop performs well under heavy stress and gaming. Battery life with general use is about 5-6 hours with proper settings. Battery life in gaming is short and not recommended as with almost all gaming laptops. If you need or want a laptop with 2 screens, you will love it. If not, you will wonder what to do with the second screen. Attached is a compact 3 screen setup using an Ipad Pro as the 3rd. Windows screen with a program called Duet. ... show more

  • i7 model is a decent value
Style: i7-10870H | RTX 3070
New update: This model series has been continued through Intel 12th-gen CPUs and has now featured anywhere from rtx 3060 through 3070 ti and 3080. A 12th gen i7 will utterly destroy the 10th and 11th gen CPUs in certain work like pro 3D rendering, but the older models are still fine for less demanding work. I still have my 10th gen model and everything still works on it. When on battery I use a single screen at 1080p, when plugged in I use both screens at 4K. Windows remembers my setup so just turning the 2nd screen on or off changes the resolution too. Standard mode is quiet and does almost everything I need. Performance and "Full Speed" modes increase the power and cooling by a good margin, enough to speed up some loads by 20% or more. It's been a good laptop. Update! As of when I'm adding this you can get a model with i9-11900H, double the RAM and the lesser RTX 3060 for 600usd more. You lose a little GPU performance but you get TB4, probably a hair better battery life, a better CPU and the memory is soldered so double RAM is a big deal. For another 400usd more than that you can get the rtx 3080 model which should be slightly better than the performance of the g15's rtx 3080. I maintain the older i7 model is still a good, balanced value for now but be aware of the more performant alternatives. Battery life is okay for cafe visits/client meetings/modest travel needs, screen is gorgeous but not very suited to gaming, touch works well but you really feel a need for the pen's precision sometimes. i7 is about as fast as the i9 in real world usage, but Ram cannot be replaced and some creators may need to pay the extra thousand-plus for 32GB model. GPU has the Studio drivers instead of the Gameready drivers, so there may be cases where you get lower FPS than a similar wattage 3070 gaming laptop. Speakers fire downward and by far sound best on a solid table or desk. This 16GB base model is a great device for multimedia and design work, it has a tolerable Intel 8-core processor and a midrange implementation of the RTX 3070. At a price below 2500 usd it compares well against more expensive studio machines and similar or less expensive gaming machines. It's not as light or long-lasting as the g15 but could be a superior creator's alternative for similar money. The extra display tips up and the cooling system pulls in extra air with less fan noise, to the extent I am more noticing some coil whine. With two TB3 ports this machine is very capable when docked, which makes up for lacking ethernet and the CPU which is quickly falling behind newer models. You can also connect better video capture accessories or other exclusive Thunderbolt appliances. An external monitor is suggested for the best gaming experience, but if you don't need high FPS then you can benefit from the excellent color and contrast. There's too much software to cover including MyAsus, Screenpad, Creator Hub etc. Any serious buyer should look into these features to get the most out of their machine. The 4Kx1100 screenpad is much more compatible with various workloads than the 1080x550 model on entry level Zephyrus Duo 15. Music, chat, notes, anything. I also have the Duo 15 with 3080 and FHD/300FPS display, which cost about 50% more....it has better performance and the Gameready video drivers. As a pair including two power adapters and etc, it quickly makes for a 20lb travel bag! But I have four screens, two RTX GPUs and complimentary differences that would require far more desktop hardware to replace. For solid power and unique features on a budget, I am mostly pleased with my UX582 base model. I could only suggest the far more expensive 32GB model to very serious creators who need the extra working memory, and I would suggest they consider other options such as the Zephyrus Duo 15 SE with 4K/120FPS screen...they are similar in price and the Duo is mostly superior. Even for office work, my GX551 can get 8-10hrs of practical endurance with the RTX disabled....and it has a strangely addictive trick: turn off the upper screen and use it as a paper holder while typing on the lower screen. The Pro Duo 15 is nice and I enjoy it, but it still needs more performance tweaks and a longer-lasting endurance option while on battery. It's still a solid buy for anyone who needs a portable work studio and I hope it continues to improve as the Zephyrus Duo has done. PS definitely consider getting a damage plan for any laptop priced above 2000usd. While I have had no issues thus far, others have.....and it's better to be covered against accidents and possible failures. Edit: Still good after a few months!~ Also if you have a long render or other heavy load on the way, switch the cooling mode to Full Speed. It's not quiet but it is aggressive, and in my experience it absolutely prevents any heat-related issues. Compared to a lot of $5000+ Xeon workstation laptops that overheat, this one really seems to have nailed the cooling/stability part of the workstation design. It's just so very balanced as an entry-level studio laptop. There are new models out with 11th-gen Intel processors since I bought mine, and the upcoming Zephyrus Duo 16. This looks to be a good year in hardware! ... show more

  • NEVER AGAIN WITH ASUS!!! Great concept but service and hardware isnt there.
Style: i7-10870H | RTX 3070
I don't write many reviews at all. When I do its something either fantastic or like this AWFUL!! Stay away from it. I've had nothing but issues. I understand things happen and they will get worked through, but the service on ASUS is awful. I bought it and use it on the move. It works great for engineering like autodesk and solidworks on the fly. I loved the concept of the 2nd screen and using it for reference docs. I thought it was funny about a month after I got the unit that the inconsistency in loading files. It would load and crash. I thought it was a program and uninstalled. It kept having poor performance. I did a factory reset and it seemed to resolve the issue. Its now 2 months later and I got a windows update a few weeks ago. The 2nd screen was working fine for about a week. On a restart the back light goes on but then on windows start it goes black. I was on chat and the phone with Asus and they could not help me. I went through the bios and all trouble shooting etc. They basically said. Send it back. I said ok how long will that take? 14 DAYS!!! I said ok when I get it back and have the same issue then what? They said we will have to repair it again. I said so I'd be out another 14 days? The response was yes. I said ok then after that 14 days? They said they would issue a replacement. I asked to skip to that step and they said no. I explained that being without a computer traveling would cripple me and if I was over in Korea and something worse than this happened then what? No comment other than send it back in. NEVER AGAIN WITH ASUS!!!!! ... show more
