The Zenbook 16X is frankly a masterpiece: its powerful, beautiful, ergonomic, and has a STUNNING 4K+ display. It's such a huge improvement over my Microsoft Surface 5 and Macbook Air I can't overstate it. The other thing about it is that it runs extremely cool and quiet even with demanding memory/GPU tasks like 3D modeling. Kudos to ASUS on that. Wasn't sure I would like that tip up keyboard but its turned out to be one of my favorite features. The configurable backlit keyboard is excellent, and did I mention that the better-than-4K display is STUNNING? The Pantone color accuracy, vibrance, clarity, and perfect blacks are simply AMAZING. The display is really, really, really good especially combined with the nVidia RTX 3060 GPU. You really can't look away and you will not be disappointed. The media spin wheel and the number pad that can be selectively activated on the track pad are interesting features that I personally don't use much but which in no way detract from the rest of the user experience. I can see the number pad being very useful for someone working in spreadsheets or an accounting system all day and the media wheel being useful for video editing. But neither are my personal use case. If I had any complaints about this notebook, it's that, 1. I don't think ASUS should make it a requirement to register the product to use the MyASUS app and thus the backlighting custom configuration. The MyASUS app is VERY good and provides a lot of hardware configuration and customization to get the most out of the product, but having to register to use it is pointless from a consumer standpoint. 2. it would have been great to have one or two more USB-C ports - like one on the back and one on the right. There are only two on the left. It's not a big deal since I have this plugged into a dock when it's at my desk, but it's definitely something to keep in mind especially if you are planning on plugging in a lot of accessories.     • Don't Buy this Machine-I bought two and both have issues

I bought two of these $2,300 machines 5 months ago. Both have had several issues. One of my machines has been in the ASUS repair facility for over 4 weeks and they still haven't told me when I'm going to get it back. I have been without one of my machines for over a month. ASUS motto is in Pursuit of Incredible. Well, I think they found it; they are "Incredibly Unreliable" and their support is "Incredibly Poor". Unless you want to spend a ton of time diagnosing problems and dealing with ASUS support. DON'T BUY THESE MACHINES and STAY FAR AWAY FROM ASUS PRODUCTS. UPDATE March 18, 2024: ASUS is now telling me that after almost two months of my Zenbook 16X sitting in their service repair department. They are now saying the motherboard has failed and they have been unable to get a replacement in for over 6 weeks! Wait for it, it gets better, ASUS can't even tell me when they can get a new motherboard in!! Please note that all the awards that ASUS earned for products and service were awarded back in 2013 over 10 years ago! Apparently their products and service has not been good enough to earn an award in the last 10 years. I would go on, but I think you are "feeling me" here. ... show more

This version is high spec and supposed to be replacing the Asus zen book I've used for 5 years. But it's buggy and the video camera broke with no user error within 3 months and a recent update I can't roll back ruined the wifi Asus help has told me to do a factory reset and if it's still not working I'll have to send it to them for repairs. Having to do a factory reset on a 4 month old p.c. is major and even though it's 2x what I paid for the last, it's unreliable and hard to fix. It's a work computer so this is a very real issue, reliability is key and this model lacks it. ... show more

Dañó en el Disco Duro Sólido (SSD), algo que no debiera ocurrir en usos domésticos y administrativos. El fabricante por su lado me indica que la garantía expiró en mayo 2024, es decir el el vendedor registró el equipo y eso me restó meses de garantía, porque en Julio 2024 llamé por problemas consecutivos de pantalla azul y tampoco logré solución con el fabricante. Todo muy conveniente y de muy mala manera que un equipo falle un año después. Ninguna ayuda por parte del fabricante y menos por parte del vendedor. Todo mal.
