Blows the top spec Surface Pro out of the water because it has a real i9 CPU and not the watered down version that Microsoft uses (what I used to carry). Competition: There really isn't any at this level. You'd have to go with the Surface Studio 2 to have the same CPU yet it's larger and heavier. The computer is a beautiful piece of art. Spending 8+ hours trying to set up a "state-of-the-art" computer and getting constant update-failure errors angered me to no end. Finally had to use the "Windows" reset tool with the "cloud" download option to get it to finally update, and then it was another 2+ hours until the latest Windows version downloaded and was ready to install. ... show more

I have a history of using a similar laptop from 2019, model Asuz Zenbook Dual UX581G 15'6 . Never before has his monitor displayed the color palette (4k) so well and correctly. But to my regret, the OLED monitor “burnt out” after 4 years of use (at the top and bottom where the browser bars and navigation Windows are). I'm very pleased with the time I use it. I've been using the new one (14" i7-13 32Gb) for a month now, and I'm very pleased with it. What would you like to improve? - the fan is running almost constantly, even when just surfing the Internet (I don’t use the laptop for games or “heavy programs”) - I think it’s a bad decision to connect the power supply and HDMI cables to the rear panel - it’s very easy to break - I would like to have a model with better monitor characteristics (like a 15"). I connect an external (or third) 28" monitor. I evaluated the second monitor in a laptop back in 2019, and now I’m unlikely to buy a laptop with one monitor. I thought this was no longer an issue in the PC space but apparently it's made a roaring comeback. I powered on the machine and I must say that hardware wise, it's beautiful. The screens are clear and crisp, the keyboard is great, and the overall layout they've gone with really serves it's purpose. The only issue I have is that there is a ton of garbage installed from third parties that I don't want, so instead of trying out new apps and games on my machine I had to spend an hour uninstall garbage like McAfee... who needs this? All windows machines come with windows defender... third party antivirus software is a thing of the past. There was some Corel trash I had to remove, and a few other web extensions and things. I'm switching off Mac for years I just got tired of apple and it's not real compatible with Samsung phones now!! The quality of the computer seems very good so far I havnt fully test it. Setup was easy and the second display is great !! I'm trying to avoid paying Adobe but the computer seems fast and good so far. I'm very pleased!! I also bought a used one but I maybe got lucky as it seems barely used so I felt I got a great deal!! This also has much more storage than my macs did!! The main thing about this computer can run the original version of light room i liked more. The negative the battery didnt last as long as it claims, all day. Also i never thought much about this but if you leave the regular display on blue light can cause trouble sleeping so now I set it to the night light completely!! ... show more

the laptop arrived with only 1TB of storage instead of the 2TB advertised, and then started overheating and shutting down after 1 month of use. Bought it a month ahead of a move to the US, so I could resume working when I arrived, and after using it to video edit for a month it crapped out on me. Asus and Amazon won't take it back or refund me. 2'500 dollar desk decoration. Complete scam. UPDATE: After almost a year, Amazon still won't refund me. They did eventually accept the return, but they refuse to refund me. I have had to take the issue up with customer protection agencies in my area. The laptop is now listed as having 1 TB, which is something at least, but be wary. Amazon has been doing everything they can to dissuade me from pursuing my refund. I have been on the phone with them for hours on end, countless times over, received and sent hundreds of emails, and still have no resolution. Make no mistake, if you don't get what you ordered, they will jerk you around for eternity before giving you the refund.\ This is less a review of the product as it stands, and more a warning to potential customers, that amazon doesn't care about you in the slightest. I received the Asus Zenbook Duo about 10 days ago and, as reviewed online, it is as lightweight as it can be. The quality of the main OLED screen is jaw-dropping. I watched a couple of movies and played Tomb Rider on it. The true black of an OLED screen drastically increases the atmoshpere and fidelity of the gaming experience (i.e. dark caves, shadows and lights in the forest, etc.). The secondary screen, named I think ScreenPad, is of equal high resolution, yet not as shiny as the main one. But any complaint about it seems preposterous, since the dual-screen functionality is aimed at unmatched productivity, and in this regard the secondary screen fully exceeded my expectations. Both screens are touchscreen. The experience of writing with the Asus Pen seems much better than what I experienced with the Microsoft Surface, which was somewhat more slippery. On having the mousepad on the right, I got used to it easily and, the addition of a small mouse surely reduces any remaining frustration. When I compared the purchased of a traditional laptop with this dual-screen, the on-the-go productivity offered by the DUO obliterated any other consideration. As commented elsewhere, the product is advertised as having 2Tb SSD. Disappointingly, it comes with 1Tb SSD. Surely, it is something to complain with Amazon but the issue does not reduce the quality of the DUO, as a product. On the plus side, the DUO is fully accessible and the HD can be switched easily with any larger size SSDs (just check online for best compatibility and price). On why I made this purchase, I wanted to move over from several generations of Microsoft Surfaces and I was looking for more power, similar lightweight portability, touchscreen, and pen capabilities. The Zenbook Duo 14 answered all my requirements. So, until someone else raises the bar higher by offering even better productivity on-the-go, I will stick with the Asus Zenbook DUO, upgrading it with future iterations that may perfect the solution that I was looking for. I travel a lot for my business, so when it came time to buy a new laptop I fully specified it. The 2nd screen is priceless for my work while traveling. The Video card, ram, storage all in one is top of the line. Add the touch screen and pen and you simply have the best laptop I’ve ever purchased. If I had one complaint is I wish it had (2) usb ports and (2) usb-c ports. I have to unplug a device from the traditional usb occasionally to plug something else in.
