  • Versatile high quality laptop
A very good value for money choice for a versatile laptop good for a variety of tasks. I travel quite often (Covid notwithstanding) and the 2 in 1 capability matters as it allows to save space and makes the use of the laptop more convenient while travelling. It's also powerful enough for many specialized tasks (such as running statistical and econometric software packages) and has superb colors. ... show more

  • Fantastic, once you get past typical Asus buggyness
I've got the i5 1135/8gb model Pros: Touch screen is fantastic! Windows 10 touch has come leagues beyond 8. But winders 11 is still behind. Oled screen itself is great, but not perfect. So it does support HDR. But you're not getting anything beyond 400nits. Now this in itself is above average. But compared to say the original galaxy chromebooks 536nits going for 200$ less, its just 8/10. Convertible hinge is great! In tablet mode it lays flat, unlike the galaxy chromebook. Keyboard and trackpad are really good! As thin as this is, you get a decent amount of key travel. Nvme performance is super fast. Comes from a cold boot to desktop in no time. But speaking of performance...comes this 2/1s killer. CPU performance ain't bad either. At half res, I can play switch games really solid. FULL SIZED HDMI!!!! 1 FULL SIZED USB! And TWO usb c that can both charge. Ethernet isn't built in, but they do give you an adapter that works perfectly fine. Included case is fairly nice actually! Cons: Software- Asus really screwed the pooch here. I haven't used an asus since the t100 detachable, and this is still very much asus buggy. If you run the cpu at 100%, the entire system becomes unstable. Didn't matter if it was a benchmark, a game. Sounds like hardware right? No! So even if you're able to close everything out, let the machine set, the system will keep flaking out. NOW READ THIS- if you disable most of the Asus software OR upgrade to windows 11, this is completely fixed. Windows 11 runs fine. But it isn't quite as smooth. Plus you loose the fantastic gestures windows 10 has. No more swipe left, and have your settings come up. It's all crap notification stuff. Or swipe right, to switch/add apps. NO HEADPHONE JACK BUILT IN! - they do give you an adapter. But heres the kicker. the actual DAC is IN the laptop. Yes, if you plug this into another device that doesn't have a dac built in, it doesn't work. All asus had to do was mount the port. There is plenty of space for it. If they can fit a full sized hdmi port, there is NO reason in the world a 3.5mm jack wouldn't fit. NO card reader slot at all. Was plenty of room on the side Battery life- eh? Its kinda rough. Many times the asus won't go into sleep when you close the screen, so it'll be dead. I'd estimate 3 hours of average use. Ok? But not great. The pen. How in the world was this not tested? Even from brand new, the pen makes the screen feel like its got crud all over. Its not smooth in the least. Now the actual responsiveness is. Then not to mention, asus idea to store it is one of the weakest magnets I've seen, on the BACK OF THE SCREEN! On something this thin, thats how you destroy screens. It never stays. In sorta short.. Its strange. It mostly does what I want it to do. I wasn't about to buy some crap galaxy tab s8, with one usb c port, no 3.5mm jack, laggy bluetooth and buggy android with forced updates to make it obsolete in a year. Chromebooks are smooth, but too buggy. But the asus, if I want to emulate old gaming? It does just work. The oled screen might not destroys samsung androids, but will most lcd junk. Normal windows file system. As a tablet, it really ain't half bad. But there was no excuse for no headphone jack. If youre willing to disable Asus junk and get past the couple hour battery, this really is a must have. 'update' it's still working fine over a year later. But the battery life has really gotten in the way. It's not worse. Basically you have to remember to turn this thing off, because it drains like mad in sleep mode when closing the screen. Reedited to 3 stars with this, and Asus drivers being awful. ... show more

  • Its pretty decent
It works pretty well as a laptop should. Of course, there are some times where the bluetooth function won't work and randomly turns off. Where sometimes the audio will be delayed and you will need to unpair your device and pair it again. There are also moments where the laptop will slightly glitch a bit but its nothing that affects the laptop longtime. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this laptop, but there are just those few annoying quirks that ruin my day. ... show more

  • So disappointed
I was so excited to purchase this nice new laptop. I am so disappointed it is so slow. It is slower than my daughters 4 year old chrome book. The webcam is horrible. It cannot connect to either of my smart tvs through bluetooth (every other laptop we have does and it says it should) . The loading time for any and everything is beyond slow when I expected a decent speed with this laptop. So sad I invested my money in this ... show more

  • Beware of Seller "Combination Studios"
The seller, Combination Studios, would not replace a defective item. This seller was very rude and unprofessional - choosing to twist my words and lash out with insults instead of attempting to resolve the issue.

  • Buy with caution
Bought the FLIP laptop and ASUS sent me a lower priced regular laptop. I returned it right away thru UPS. It has been 2 months and it's still not delivered. As a result I cannot claim my refund. I'm out $900 due to ASUS's fault of sending me the wrong laptop.
