I have had this laptop for about two weeks now. I like the weight, the speed, OLED screen, thunderbird ports, and faster internet. The only disappointment has been with the battery which lasts about 6 hours at best. I did buy the 4-year Asurion protection plan, which I rarely do, because of past problems with the bezel at the lower right hinge being pulled away from the screen, which occurred on the last two laptops I have had (Acer and Dell laptops). It would be nice to be able to change out the battery without taking the computer apart, but not many laptops are designed this way. This laptop also has a touch screen, but I don't think I will be using this feature. Only time will tell how reliable this computer is but hoping to get at least 4 years of use. Currently, I am giving it a rating of 4 - time will tell if it does deserve a higher rating. Update: Forgot to mention that the speakers are not very loud. April 2025..Upgrade review rating from 4 to 5. Reliable and performs well. The hinge design is very good and unlikely to break easily. ... show more

I have had this laptop for 4 months. I love it. Touch screen is fantastic. Battery is great. I LLLOOOVVVEEE this laptop and am extremely happy with it. Highly recommend. I am using it for nursing school so MANY applications and it hades it all seamlessly. Quality is great has taken a beating and is fine. Heat is fine also. Even using on lap with a blanket it is good. I wanted to use this laptop at least a week before a review because I couldn't believe just how good it is. For context, I have only used second hand laptops or dell latitude laptops for work and stuff, I was perplexed of how good this screen is, very bright, very good color reproduction and a beautiful almost edge to edge screen. Another thing that was apparent right away is its speed (as I said before, I have only used "bad" laptops, so I'm not the best reference for this), from the logging in to opening apps and running light software and using this computer at 120fps is just mesmerizing with how good the screen is. Please, if you are going to spend this amount of money, buy the computer from ASUS. THIS is not ASUS. They are an authorized 3rd party. I am a student & attend most of my classes virtually. I purchased this computer for this reason, and a couple days after the return period ended the camera just completely stopped working. I called ASUS tech support & reinstalling drives, hardware reset, factory reset, etc all did not resolve the issue. The ASUS tech verbally stated they do not recommend that anyone purchase their products from these 3rd party vendors. I contacted them to see if they would like to rectify the issue & send me a new laptop for the trouble. They did not care at all & referred me right back to ASUS. If you want an ASUS computer, please buy it from ASUS. Not these guys. I am able to order an external webcam, but the fact that this piece of hardware broke less than 50 days in … what’s next? Again.
