I upgraded my 5 years old laptop to this ASUS and before doing that I did quite a lot of online research. And I can not be happier. This device is fast, like really fast! I like the screen which produces very low levels of reflection, the (illuminated) keyboard has a satisfying “click” and travel, I love the metallic finish of the device and it’s very light to travel with. Overall completely happy. Only downside (being really picky) is that trackpad feels somehow “cheap” when clicking it… I mean, the device looks and feels so premium but the track pad feels like from another device… anyhow it works beautifully. After 5 months the laptop stopped working and will no longer turn on. Tried hard resets, checked battery and charger, nothing works. Wasted $500 on a dead laptop!

It’s been over nine months and works just fine for my day to day duties. Screen brightness isn’t the best but is ok if you’re not bothered by dim light.     • Don't Get if Touch Pad don't work
When I purchased this item, I thought that it would be a great fit for me, but it wasn't. Can't get the touch pad to function correctly, can't close out any files or even try to save them. I know that it is too late to return, but I will have to purchase another one but from a different supplier.

Likes size backlight keyboard is a must for me !!!! Cons . Doesn’t have much storage space updated comments : its been less than three months since I did my previous review, I spend at most three hours a week ( total) on this laptop, I let it charge after use then shut it off. by the time I turn it on on the weekend the following week (since I usually submit work on a Sunday I also do reading on paper on not on devices) the laptop is always low !!! i barely use the laptop and everytime I turn it on the battery is low. i bought this for light assignment and it drains so fast very disappointing ... show more
