Have not used it much yet but it is a vast improvement over my previous laptop. Smaller, faster, lighter. Stays charged for hours. Has a screen sharp enough to watch movies on. It does not come with Chrome or Office installed, they want you to pay a $9.99/month subscription fee. I installed Chrome and LibreOffice and it's fine. Only issue so far is the keyboard is smaller than I'm used to so I keep making typos. One thing I did not realize is that the touchpad is a number pad. It's easy to accidentally activate the number pad and again leads to having to do a lot of back spacing. Otherwise, in the two weeks I've had it I am delighted with it. ... show more

Beautiful laptop with enough power to use Premiere Pro without lagging on 1080p. 4k requires the use of proxies and reducing playback resolution but it still gets the job done even without a proper dedicated video card. Battery life is poor at 2 hours and it puts off lots of heat as it works splendidly for the price. ( I got it with a $140 off coupon). Sound is inferior. Value for the money? This is a very good deal for this laptop. It is great to not have to worry about running out of disk space. It is light enough for me to carry in my backpack easily. It's quiet and pretty fast. Occasionally I wait a second or two for a page to load, but not enough to worry me. However, things I didn't think about, but turns out are important to me: It is NOT a touch screen, and the camera is not equipped with Integrated Infrared Sensors, so facial recognition is not available. I can work with that, but it sure would be nice to have them! ... show more

Blank screen within a few days of use. Had to send it back in (and pay for shipping it back to ASUS for repair despite warrantee). This is the 2nd ASUS we've bought that has had major issues. Never buying an ASUS again.

Well it's a good little inexpensive laptop so don't expect to get a lighted keyboard or a touch screen. It ample for my use but I wouldn't purchase it if you plan on doing any heavy computing on it.
