i see so many reviews saying it’s so slow and it sucks, it’s truly a great laptop considering the price point. i wasn’t expecting a super fast top of the line laptop BUT it has been preforming just fine, the battery compacity is good considering how small and light weight this laptop is, and has no issues loading up many things. i haven’t had any issues streaming content and it hasn’t frozen, there’s been a few things that took a short moment to load but it really isn’t as terrible as these reviews make it out to be! i would reccomend this for laptop for someone who needs a laptop for school/collage/classes and is on a budget! ... show more

    • Don't waste your money or time on ASUS products
I purchased and returned a total of two of these laptops. The keys stopped working on the first one only after a couple of days. I returned it to AMAZON and received a replacement rather quickly. However, many of the features on the device were either slow or didn't work at all. I reached out to ASUS about the issues. 1st attempt was through the long list of options to try to fix it on my own, none of which resolved my issues. 2nd I reached out their chat line, the person who responded told me that they were waiting to review my issue, although I hadn't yet mentioned my issues. Then the chat person never responded beyond the first statement although I waited for nearly 30 minutes. I was able to find a way to speak to a human when searched outside of their application. The first person was experiencing audio issues and said that he would call me right back, he didn't. The second person was rude and curt in her communication. She instructed me to perform a task that was irreversible and made matters worse. After placing me hold for the third time, she told me that they could no longer assist me with those issues and suggested that I reach out to Microsoft for further assistance. Their products don't perform as advertised and they provide very poor customer support. I am returning this second unit today and will never purchase a product from them again! ... show more

Slighly slower than expected. Takes a while to complete the setup. Must exit S Mode to install my software (Firefox, Thunderbird, WPS, etc.).

    • I had serious problems be fore i did this...
I was ready to write an extremely negative post about this laptop because it would freeze up and become non responsive every time i tried to use it. After a month of trying various things that did not work, i finally disabled Microsoft edge and installed Google chrome as the web browser. Instantly everything is quick and responsive, no more lag. Apparently Microsoft loads everything they own onto these laptops forcing you to use it. Just remember, you can use aps and programs that are much better. ... show more

I’ve had this laptop for over one (1) year now and it works amazing. No issues. I do all my schoolwork on it and it’s super fast light weight and very easy to use. It was a good buy for me. The battery life last for about 2 1/2 hours, sound quality is great and the HD is crisp and clean

Turns out it runs on Windows 11, Version 22HD, which has reached end of support from Windows and no longer receives security updates. Spent a whole afternoon finding a link through ASUS support to upgrade to the new version of Windows 11. Supposedly, I had enough memory according to the diagnostic program that I ran, but the upgrade failed with an error message saying I was 1.57 GB short of memory, with nothing left to uninstall. This model doesn't support a memory expansion card. Basically, it's a nice word processor or YouTube viewer, but you surf the Internet at your own risk with no security updates. I wouldn't use it for anything confidential. Runs a lot faster if you uninstall a lot of the "junk" programs that are preloaded on it. ... show more

After looking at other reviews I decided to buy two of this model for my wife and I. After taking the advice from other reviews regarding turning off un needed windows apps on start up, this laptop is great! It is lightweight fast and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time AND it has a number pad which is a plus for me!. This laptop is a great deal for the price if all you need is a general use machine for searches, email, school or general work.
