  • The screen blows your mind!
I love this tablet. OLED screens are simply the way to go, there's no turning back! Same with USB-C for everything. The size is quite comfortable to take on trips, watch movies on the bed or just fooling around. You can charge it with any battery bank, car phone charger, laptop, AC phone charger or whatever you want. The micro SD slot allows you to expand the internal memory with a card that barely protrudes out a fraction of a millimeter, so you can leave it in permanently. I've installed a 512GB card and it works great. Works well for office tasks and videos and light games. Of course it won't run crysis or new stuff, it's not meant for that. Being windows you can basically don anything you want from programming arduinos to whatever you desire that apple/android won't let you. Or you can install linux. THE BAD: FIRST USE OF THE PENCIL! It ships with a "transport" tip which DOES NOT WORK TO WRITE and nowhere does it tell you that you HAVE to switch it out to some of the other provided tips. It took me days to figure out that until I put some of the other tips, it won't work. Maybe they could make a transport tip that does not look like a normal tip? Or say something on the manual? The battery of the pen gets drained quite fast when not in use. The included pen charging cable has a USB-A connector. On a tablet with only two USB-C connectors..... really? A small container box thingy for the extra pen tips would be nice. I'd really love an LTE version with GPS, after all I wanted this tablet for sailing. Using it as a laptop isn't that comfortable as the keyboard doesn't hold the screen up. It needs that kickstand which is quite uncomfortable, mainly when you want to use it in bed or when you need to have the screen completely vertical for video calls. Windows glitched out on me, making the WiFi connection stop working permanently until I reinstalled it. It was quite annoying but not Asus's fault Overall, even if I have been quite harsh pointing out every single bad detail, I love it for what it is. ... show more

  • DO NOT Buy This ASUS Tablet!
UDPATE: This computer worked great for about 3 months and then began to develop the following problems: 1. Won't start. This is crazy. I've never had a computer that had no reaction to the power button. Eventually - as in the next day, it will start. I have never been able to figure out what starts this computer. Normally just opening it should do it unless it were shutdown. And normally pressing the power button and/or holding the power button should start it. But it doesn't. Maybe tomorrow it will start? What's the point of having a laptop that you can't start?! 2. The mousepad and keyboard quit working when it wakes up from sleep. At that point I have to go through several machinations to get them to work again all the way up to and including rebooting. 3. It doesn't seem to really have the power to run Windows 11 even though that is what is installed. I think that may be the cause of all of the problems with this computer. Barely enough memory to run the operating system. I still have my ASUS tablet from about 10 years ago but I wanted to see what the new one was like and all I can say is WOW! ASUS says they are "In Search of Excellence", well they achieved it in this tablet. The thought that went into the design of this tablet is unsurpassed. Even if it was possible to get the same quality design in other products, you'd have to pay up to $700 more for the pen, the stand, the keyboard, the case. Superb tablet, great price. ... show more

  • I proved it doesn't excite me as much as I'd hoped - updated after 3 months of use.
I bought this to experience a tablet PC as a replacement for a clam shell laptop. Cutting to the chase, I'll keep the clam shell, thank you. If you use a laptop on your lap as i often do, like now as I'm writing this review, and compare the experience with this ASUS tablet on your lap, the main outcomes will be poor support for the tablet, weakish magnets on the kickstand, a flexy keyboard connected with a weakish magnet and flexy hinge. This experience is not particularly pleasant for the lap, the visual effects, or the typing. OK, you could easily see by looking at the ad pictures that no one does this. Call me an optimist, but I thought I"d try. The tablet itself is 1.8 pounds or so - chunky. Add the magnetically attached keyboard and kickstand and its over 3 lbs. - about what my laptop is. The magnets are only strong enough to attach to the machine while it is on a table and not moving. I haven't gotten much over 6 hours on the battery. Not bad. Not great. The guts are minimalist - the Celeron (cough, choke) processor chunks along at a leisurely pace although it plays full HD video smoothly and presents it on a gorgeous OLED display with lots of Spec Cred. The sound is nice, but not powerful. Bring your bluetooth speakers or headphones for noisy environs. The hard drive is too small for the price and as small as you would want on a windows 11 machine anyway. 8 gig of memory is fine. It has 2 USB C ports and you have to charge through one of those when the time comes. The Charger is pure ASUS - a big vampire that needs the whole socket, with fangs that don't slip out of the way for traveling or storage- a real downer in my book. I like most ASUS hardware, but the chargers are decidedly under-refined. Windows 11 takes away features from Windows 10, is still a work in progress feature-wise, and represents a bland outlook for the future of Windows computing in my opinion. Some say its pretty. OK. Also, Microsoft has gone full-on, in-your-face commercial with Edge and Bing reminding you of all the wonderful ways they can attach to your credit card with countless must-have offerings. These quickly become tiresome and with a solid effort, can be toned down. So, what's it good for? Movies and TV. If you want to take media along and watch it on a great screen, this'll do the trick. The Wifi's really good for streaming, and you can put many hours of HDTV on it with a 1 TB micro SD card and get an enjoyable 13 inch screen experience sans airborne signals. It can do much of the usual Windows stuff if you don't need a lot of fancy interfaces or speed. It comes with a pen thingy that's easy to lose and weird to use. it also comes with a nice, taught case that can hold and protect the tablet, kickstand, and flexy keyboard altogether and put into your back pack where your clam shell laptop goes. Will I use it for email, productivity, and problem solving situations? Naw. Too futzy. Will i watch tv and movies on it while traveling or remote? Yup. With glee! Will i buy another one? Sure. For 600 bucks, with an intel i5 or better, upgradable ram, and a tare of HD. Like that's gonna happen. Wait, I did that with a new PC for that already... Hmmm. Update: Using it for movies and TV, for which it is nice. Also using for slides shows from picture albums with great results. Microsoft is slowly improving the Windows experience. I'm raising my rating to 4 stars. The screen is luscious, offering exceptional, deep shades of black, beautiful contrast, and brightness for all but the sunniest days. Consuming pictures and video are a pleasure. Battery life for media playback has been 5-6 hours, enough for me. Media controls via the touchscreen are easy to use and responsive. Leave off the keyboard and set it on a counter or table for a nice view. The case for transporting is fine, too. I see variants of this out there starting at 300 bucks. The screen is the best part. ... show more

  • Great so far!
This computer is really great so far. It has a really nice display and the pen that’s included works so well with it. Also, the battery lasts a long time. Because I am posting a review, ASUS will extend my warranty by 90 days. I had one question for ASUS about the warranty and I found it easy to contact them and I got a prompt and helpful response. ... show more
