  • Great for a couple of Weeks!
Style: TUF Motherboard
The mother board was pretty straight forward and initially I was impressed. However after a couple of weeks it simply would no longer boot. Having built hundreds of computers in my career, I took all the normal steps including speaking with tech support, see finality after 4 hours of working with them. It's pretty clear they have an interest appearing like they provide excellent support, but when it came down to it their actions spoke much louder. ASUS: I am seeing that you are in warranty until 2021/12/24. ASUS: Let me check the replacement stock for you. ASUS: Thank you for your patience, but I am not seeing any replacement stock at this time. ME: Ok, so what happens next? ME: Note, this build is for NVR CCTV purposes, so whilst not running their cameras are not recording. ASUS: You can still send the unit in to us for servicing, but we would be unable to provide a replacement at this time. ME: Wow, that's incredibly unacceptable. I will buy another another one out desperation and post my review. How can I get a transcript of all the chat's from today associated with this issue? ... show more

  • Awesome motherboard for someone with a lot of patience
Style: TUF Motherboard
When this thing ultimately decides to load Windows it's great! But be ready to wait 5 minutes during every start as the motherboard gives you this menu (picture) without responding to either DEL or F2! The configuration options are amazing, and this thing is fast as anything out there. I love it! I especially enjoy the weekly Windows 10 re-install, along with all the drivers, since this gives me the multitude of BIOS screen wait times. If not for the hours spent waiting, I'd never get around to clipping my fingernails, nor would I be compelled to get up and grab another beer. Sure, some people will say that it's a bug, but I'm here to tell you it's a feature. Others will say that I just don't know what I'm doing, and they'd be mostly right, but after countless attempts to fix this I'm yet to find that one sweet setting that prevents my glorious BIOS screen saver. I will say this though, one of the reasons I love it is because, like me, it hates Windows 10. If you find the best way to coaxing ito loving to live with Win10 let me know. Oh yeah, it has lots of great ports I'm sure would be useful. ... show more

  • Great board, lackluster WiFi
Style: TUF Motherboard
Great board for beginner/intermediate gaming and the ASUS EZtuning BIOS options are pretty straight forward. The price was right as well especially if you require WiFi On that note: the integrated Wireless leaves quite a bit to be desired. Updated network drivers, tried multiple antennas and still only getting 50% of my connection speeds at best. Swap to my PCI wireless adapter with the same antennas and getting 100% of my available speeds with both. Spent about 3 hours trying different configs, different drivers, etc., and nothing changed. Decided to cut my losses and just use the PCI adapter. If you are buying this specifically for wireless, I’d say buy the non-wireless version and spend the extra $20 you save on a PCI adapter ... show more

  • Bought this specifically for the strong PCIe x16 slot
Style: TUF Motherboard
First time having and building a gaming rig. i have no complain in the overall of the mobo especially in the BIOS, it's user-friendly... only complaint when i started building it is the i/o shield, the metal prongs was tooooooo sharp and i didn't know how to push it... took me 2 hrs to figure out how to push it in my case. ... show more

  • Bang for the buck Motherboard
Style: TUF Motherboard
Z390 Chipset motherboards are not cheap, considering they are quite expensive when compared to something like the X470 series from AMD. The ASUS TUF series, however, is a solid performer. I've always liked ASUS motherboards due to their longevity and features and this one is no exception. The only sad part of this motherboard is the low amount of fan headers. But that is to be expected at this price point. The addition of having a Wi-Fi card is a bonus, however, the antenna provided kinda sucks, so if u have some leftover cash definitely spend it on buying some separate 9DB antenna's. I am running a Core i5-9600K which is mostly just for pure gaming, paired with a GTX 1070, my former Ryzen 5 1600 had severe frame drops which I couldn't understand was the reason, so I decided to go with an Intel-based system. All in all a well worth motherboard for the price point ... show more

Style: TUF Motherboard
I built my new computer Aug 22. I wanted to do the review to really get to know the board. I got 16G of Corsair 3000 ram and Intel 9400 processor. I GTX 750 video card. I don't game anymore. Got WD 500 BLACK M.2 3 GEN SSD. 3400 READ/2900 WRITE. Everything is working great. NO COMPLAINTS. Bluetooth AND WIFI work as the should. Could not ask for more stable computer. Factal Design Define 5s case. Computer runs 24/7. NEVER A GLITCH. UPDATE: Still awesome. WIFI running spot on and I'm using PROTONVPN. EVERYTHING is running perfect. I'm 58 and I have been building computers since 1998. I know what I'm doing and this is an all round great computer. I stream internet movies fast Suddenlink fastest internet connection. I can't find ANYTHING wrong with this set up. I'm actually bored because I just turn it on and everything works. I have had so many computers I have had to work on, something glitches, but this is as stable as my Note 9 Samsung. LOL I run mine 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I reboot for Windows updates and after I run my cleaning program, WISECLEANER 365. That's it. Never turn it off. I'm typing on it right now with DASkeyboard. Just so stable. I must say, I'm proud to have built it. ... show more

  • Disappointed
Style: TUF Motherboard
I wanted to overclock my 8700k cpu. I was able to use Intel’s Extreme tuning software to select voltage; multipliers and fequency quite easily. I succeeded in making my pc 100% stable at 5ghz. When I tried to use the Asus bios to set these settings more permanently, I found that it was 1000 times more difficult to do so. The bios settings are impossible to understand and unnecessarily so. I mean why couldn’t it just be as intuitive as the Intel software? At least for these settings it obviously should be since, after several hours and days of trying I was unable to reach the same level which I was able to reach very quickly with the Intel software. ... show more
