  • Incredible Graphics Card
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
I’m really impressed with the ASUS TUF RTX 5080. It ran beautifully right out of the box with very low noise, and I loved that it had five connections on the back, which gave me plenty of flexibility. The card fit perfectly in my PC, and the design overall feels clean and premium. Performance has been fantastic, and for me it was worth the money. The only downsides are that this model uses more plastic compared to my old TUF 3080 Ti, which felt sturdier with its all-metal build, and I wasn’t a big fan of the RGB design choice—it would have looked better stretched across the card like the Astral. Still, those are small complaints compared to how well it performs. It did have some bent fins from manufacturing which Amazon did not help with when requesting help, but Luckily it did not effect functionality. ... show more

  • Strong performer, full featured 4k gaming GPU for a hefty pricetag.
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
Expensive, but you know that already if you're looking a 5080. Replaced my 3080 with this and very large gains in all games. Very large card make sure you have the space inside your tower and in the back for the 3 slots. While in my desktop, even with 3 monitors multitasking, the fans never even need to turn on because it idles very cool. Even when gaming the fans at 40-60% rpm are very quiet. I don't think I've seen it go over 70% rpm speed in the latest games. Had no missing ROPs, hopefully that issue was limited to very early cards. VRAM of 16gb is a welcome improvement over the 10GB I had on my 3080 which was limiting the more games that keep coming out since I run games at 4k. Runs almost all of my games with great fps at 4k resolution, with and without DLSS depending on the game and usage of Ray tracing settings and how optimized the game is. With some more maturity in the 50 series drivers it should keep strong performance for quite a few years. Overall a great upgrade from my 3080 from 4 years ago, if you're on a 40 series card it's not worth it most likely especially for the current cost. ... show more

  • It's just AWESOME!
Style: ROG Astral Size: RTX5080|OC
Just received my 5080 today and I gotta say.... WOW! Not only is it a beautiful gpu but man is it heavy. The performance of this thing is crazy and all the games I threw at it ran flawlessly at 1440p. I have not been able to test 4k because i do not own a 4k monitor currently but to me 1440p is perfect. The temps always stay low (around 59c) under high loads and I'm just all around impressed. The build quality is top notch featuring a unibody all metal design with sensors that detect if there is an issue when plugging in the 12V-2x6 power connector when using the GPU Tweak 3 software. (Monster Hunter Wilds benchmark test was done using factory clock settings out of the box and no frame gen.) Update: forgot to mention i do have all rops and i can max out the overclocking on it and it takes it like a beast with no artifacting or stuttering during heavy benchmark tests! MAKE SURE TO CHECK FOR MISSING ROPS! ... show more

  • Back to team green...
Style: Prime Size: RTX5080
While I dislike Nvidia's business practices, I have to admit that their hardware and software is far superior to AMD's. Why am I bringing this up, because I switched from an RX 7900 XTX to this 5080 and DLSS3/4 are still significantly better than FSR 3.x. This 5080 GPU runs more efficiently with lower power and expels less heat while rendering a higher FPS and crisper image than the 7900XTX. Only criticism I have is that when using the adapter, the red led on the board stays on when power is turned off on the PC. This is documented as being normal on Asus's website, but feels unexpected and initially made me think the card was installed wrong or with incompatible parts. Other than than, for MSRP pricing at $1000, this card is everything I hoped it would be. ... show more

  • A very capable GPU, if you can afford it!
Style: ROG Astral Size: RTX5080|OC
Performance: I must've won the silicon lottery because I can OC this card from it's own boost ~2750 to 3200 Mhz. Same with the ram, I can add 1286 Mhz OC. Runs nearly every game I have at 4k ultra with just DLSS (no frame Gen) and get 90-120 fps (Ghosts of Tsushima, Helldiver's 2, for example). Cyberpunk is a bit tougher but at 4k ultra/psycho, full RT and path tracing (only DLSS) I still get ~44 fps without frame Gen (70 w/full RT but no path tracing). With frame genx2 and everything maxed it's closer to 80. Not too shabby. Although it would be great if the card could do this natively, it still looks insane in these circumstances. Noise level: The fans are LOUD. If you limit fan speed to ~70% max it'll still keep the GPU ~65°C and the memory in the mid-50's without the noise being too bad. Good cooling indeed. Ease of installation: Not very much customization can be done with the RGB, the options are very limited in Armoury Crate. Maybe other RGB controllers would do more? I dunno. Very, very heavy, like 6 pounds. But well built for sure (except the stickers in the center of the fans aren't perfectly lined up). An extra HDMI port is also nice. And per pin monitoring for the 12VHpwr is a must these days. Can only get it on Astral GPUs. Overall, more like a 4.5/5 because it does leave a few nitpicky things to be desired. Also, I only paid $1650 for the OC version before it was again jacked up to $1800 which is even more ludicrous ... show more

  • Bad quality, horrible thermals.
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX4080 Super|OC
I would not recommend anyone to get a Asus GPU. The cold plate on the GPU cooler is extremely poorly designed/ made of poor quality material. The result is that it expands way more than it should when hot, squeezing the thermal compound out from between the GPU die and cold plate, leading to deterioring thermals. In the 3+ months that I've had my 4080 Super, I already had to RMA it once because temps are reaching 110 celcius causing the GPU to thermal throttle. The whole process took 3 weeks because Asus decided it's a good idea to use ground shipping from the US East coast where I'm at to their RMA center in the West Coast. Worse thing is, the temps are creeping back up again, reaching 100 celcius in the 3 weeks that i got my GPU back! If it weren't for the current GPU shortage right now, I would certainly demand a refund and go with another manufacturer instead. ... show more
