  • TUF RTX 5080 OC (IS impressive)
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
I upgraded from an RTX 3060 to this ASUS TUF RTX 5080 OC, and the performance jump is massive. This card runs Battlefield 6, Cyberpunk 2077 with heavy ray tracing, and the new Resident Evil Requiem all on Ultra at 4K with no issues. The build quality feels extremely durable — it’s built like a tank and gives off that “this thing is made to last” feeling. The cooling system stays very quiet while keeping temperatures low, and power consumption is reasonable for this level of performance. It comes factory overclocked and has plenty of headroom if you want to push it further for more FPS, though I’m not overclocking mine to maximize longevity. This feels like a very solid long-term investment. ... show more

  • Coolest & Most quiet GPU card I’ve ever owned! Great aesthetics too! Coolest & Most quiet GPU card I’ve ever owned! Great aesthetics too!
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
Coming from 2 generations of MSI Gaming Trio cards (from 2080 Super to 7900 xtx) which are super quiet and can barely hear the fans spinning. I was skeptical at first with Asus TUF card. But I got tired of too much RGB and saw this card. And man, let me tell you, What a great upgrade I did! This card looks so bad ass inside my Fractal Meshify 3XL! Low temps and quiet fans! hardly goes up any more than 60 Celcius when gaming 1 player games like Cyberpunk 2077 & God Of War. On idle temps it goes as low as 25 degrees celcius! I kid you not! Im glad that I got this too before ram prices skyrocketed in prices at $1199! It’s been 5 months now and card is still running strong af! I suggest you grab it when price dips down again. You won’t regret it! One of my best purchases last year 2025. ... show more

  • Great card, but absolutely NOT worth buying at current insane market prices
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
It's a great card, and I'm amazed at how quiet it is even under high GPU load doing gaming or using generative AI applications. Simple to install, it's just plug and play once you update your drivers and tweak all your game settings to use the new card's horsepower. Coming from a 2080Ti I was pleasantly suprised. That said, DO NOT BUY THIS CARD AT CURRENT PRICES. The GPU market is completely whack right now, and as of the time of this review, this card's price is over $600 ABOVE MSRP. Just don't do it. It's not worth a 60% markup over MSRP. If you're living on a 40-series card, just stay put, you'll be fine. If you're on a 30-series card, honestly, you'll get by. If you're on a 20-series card and you're sitting on a big pile of cash that you don't care to set on fire for no reason other than you have no impulse control, then sure, go for it. The card is great. Current pricing is absolutely absurd. Avoid purchasing until prices fall back to Earth... whenever that is. ... show more

  • Strong performer, full featured 4k gaming GPU for a hefty pricetag.
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
Expensive, but you know that already if you're looking a 5080. Replaced my 3080 with this and very large gains in all games. Very large card make sure you have the space inside your tower and in the back for the 3 slots. While in my desktop, even with 3 monitors multitasking, the fans never even need to turn on because it idles very cool. Even when gaming the fans at 40-60% rpm are very quiet. I don't think I've seen it go over 70% rpm speed in the latest games. Had no missing ROPs, hopefully that issue was limited to very early cards. VRAM of 16gb is a welcome improvement over the 10GB I had on my 3080 which was limiting the more games that keep coming out since I run games at 4k. Runs almost all of my games with great fps at 4k resolution, with and without DLSS depending on the game and usage of Ray tracing settings and how optimized the game is. With some more maturity in the 50 series drivers it should keep strong performance for quite a few years. Overall a great upgrade from my 3080 from 4 years ago, if you're on a 40 series card it's not worth it most likely especially for the current cost. ... show more

  • Great GPU; be prepared for other upgrades
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
TLDR; I used this graphics card in my first custom-build and it works very well for me. It’s a big and heavy beast but it does everything it needs to do very well while looking amazing. You may need to get a larger pc case than what you had for a 30 series or earlier. I selected this 5080 for my first custom pc build and I’ve been learning a lot about pcs in general from the experience. Appearance: I love the design of the card. It looks mechanical and modern and fits perfect with my black themed build. I’ve always liked ASUS designs. My first gaming laptop (my first laptop, period) was ASUS and I have come to trust the brand as being reliable and appealing in its style. Performance: There are no games that I have played so far that haven’t maxed out the game’s graphics settings by default. The 16gb of VRAM was my biggest want out of a new GPU and this helps get all the FPS from every game I’ve tried. Size: This thing is massive. My previous GPU was a 3060. I thought I could squeeze the 5080 into my old case to save a few bucks and I was very wrong. It is also quite heavy so I’d recommend using the included gpu stand or similar to support the weight. When fitted into the correct case, it was super easy to install. Power: I bought a 850w power supply unit and it’s been working fine with it thus far. If you have doubts, it may be safer to get a 1000w PSU depending on the rest of your build. I’ve also heard of issues with the PSU to GPU cables melting but I haven’t seen any evidence of this with my setup. Price: I bought this 5080 pretty early into the series’ release. I paid about 1600 for it but it has been worth it to me. If you have qualms with the price, the 5070 may be the option for you. ... show more

  • A good higher end card that runs quiet, stable, and provides great gaming performance
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
I've been pretty happy with this card, except for the price. I was on the hunt for a 5090 but decided to buy this since it seemed to come in stock more often. I replaced a 3080Ti that had served me well, but wasn't quite up to the job of running the 57" Samsung curved display that I have which has a native resolution of 7680x2160. With this card, I am running most games at 5120x1440 with very good performance and visual quality. That's not to say it won't run the native resolution, but I've found this resolution to be a good balance of performance and quality, so I've stuck with it for the past 18 months I've had this monitor. I can tell a very noticeable improvement in performance running on my system which I built in 2021. The CPU is a Ryzen 9 5950x running stock speeds and for my needs, I don't plan to upgrade the CPU or video card for another couple years. Temps on this card have been good, and I've had zero stability issues since installation about a five weeks ago. The card is also quieter than my prior 3080Ti which was a nice bonus. If you are looking for a good higher end card and don't mind the market price, go for it. I am picky AF and I'm not disappointed. Sure, I wanted the 5090, but with prices still hovering around $3k at the time of writing unless you are super lucky to snag one closer to that $2k price point, I would say this card is a good choice. Zero regrets, and it has ran everything great. I play BeamNG, The Last of Us 1 & 2, GTA 5, and several other recent games with zero studder or slowness at much higher quality levels than my prior card. The reason for four stars is simply the price point and the difficulty of acquiring these cards. Happy hunting! Update: One tip if you install this in a slightly older system and have issues with the computer posting consistently. I thought perhaps this card was having issues since many times my system would fail to post. However, I had legacy CSM Support enabled, and while my old 3080Ti had no issues, this card does not like that setting in my particular system. After disabling CSM support, it posts every time with no issues. I don't know why that was enabled, but I fixed that, and also enabled full secure boot for Windows 11. Rock solid, but there was little help online. I figured it out by trial an error before I was about to RMA the card. ... show more

  • If you can afford it ...Just Buy It!
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
To date....The Beast that tames all others! I was an Nvidia fan boy since the first series of GeForce graphics dating back to the 90's. I switched to Amd Radeon after the Covid scam and not willing to pay the ridiculous mark up that Nvidia placed on us PC gamers. Well, after a couple years of giving AMD a fair chance, I finally just had enough of the constant driver issues and bugs with their software on the graphics side of things. I am still faithful to their CPU's and continue to push my Ryzen 9 5050x to handle all of my processing work loads. Yes, I did buy this card at the insane current mark up so shame on me. But I get very little time to sit and play my favorite games... and I sure don't want to spend what little time I have dealing with bugs! To give an example of the power of this beast, I set this card at all Ultra settings on the latest Forza Horizon 6 title with native AA and ray tracing all maxed out and averaged no less than 110 FPS. NO STUTTERING like I had with my previous RX 7900xt. So far I'm happy to be back as an Nvidia "Fan Boy!" ... show more

  • It works....I think
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX5080|OC
It works, there's video on my screen. It's supposed to be top of the line (at the moment), but I don't notice much over my 2080Ti. But I'm guessing the the VC wasn't my bottleneck. I've heard this is a beast though!
