ASUS TUF is a high-quality, but affordable gaming PC that delivers! Performance: I have the i5-12500H variant, and this processor has not shown any slowdowns at all! During the initial setup, and for the first 2 days, it was moving a little sluggish, but the Task Manager showed that it was Windows processes that was using most of the CPU and RAM at the time (happens to all computers from time to time). Outside of that, the performance is flawless. I have used it to play Halo: Master Chief Collection, and it runs like a beauty! Wi-Fi speeds are immaculate! The Wi-Fi chip performs flawlessly! Not to mention that it is also equipped with an ethernet port as well. No complaints here. Screen: Upon first bootup of the desktop (after the setup screen), I IMMEDIATELY saw the quality of the screen. Viewing angles are just about perfect as well! This is my first foray into 144Hz territory, and I love it! Transitions are smooth, and I often move the mouse pointer from one corner to another just to enjoy the frame rate. The screen gets plenty bright for indoor use, and suitable for outdoor use as well. Direct sunlight, however, is a bit of a letdown. At the same time, I don't like or suggest using PCs in direct sunlight if possible, as the heat is not good for the device. The color accuracy leaves a little to be desired, as it does not provide 100% of the sRGB color gamut (around 46-55%, I think), so be careful with photo processing. The screen has a matte surface, so there are NO reflections to speak of. Hardware: That being said, this device is great with high/low temps as well! It doesn't slow down with the cold, and it doesn't throttle when hot. The fans do a great job keeping the laptop cool and preventing throttling, even while gaming. Maybe I should try gaming outside in the sunlight....? Perhaps a future edit is in order. Back on track, the fans are audible while performing CPU-heavy tasks (gaming and video processing), but completely quiet while using simple processes, like web browsing and document editing. In fact, I thought the fans turned off, but I can feel a very slight breeze from the back of the device at all times. For simple tasks, this is actually just fine to use in your lap. The rear vents prevent overheating when used on your lap as well. I do not suggest using it in your lap while gaming. The hinge for the screen is sturdy, and the laptop material feels durable and looks good. The keyboard and wrist-rests get smudges, though. Not too fond with that. It is easy to clean with a microfiber cloth, though, so all is not lost. Now, the not so good (don't worry, the list is short): Battery: The battery is easily the greatest letdown for this computer. For everyday tasks, you can get 3-5hrs of battery life, depending on different factors (fan speed, screen brightness, backlit keyboard settings, speaker volume, etc.). However, when gaming, the battery life TANKS! You might get 1:30hrs if you are lucky. For older titles, these metrics change by a lot. But for Halo, for example, I was at 50% in about 40mins. I imagine that video processing would deliver slightly better results, but not aby too much. Keep your plug handy. Speakers: The speakers are decent. Bass is non-existent, but I did not expect that. The vocals, however, are rather clear. The speakers do provide a stereo experience, with the left and right channels working as intended (great for shooting games to know the origin of bullets and footsteps). I typically use Bluetooth or external speakers, so I don't have too many complaints about this. Conclusion: This laptop is a very solid performer for whatever tasks that you want to do, but be mindful of the battery limitations. If you're wanting to buy a laptop for gaming, this is the one. I can play Apex on this beast without any lag or droped frames. Here's the shocker, I'm playing on the 2nd highest graphics settings with amazing performance. This laptop does get pretty hot while being used, but the fan noise doesn't get very loud at all. The overall appearance is appealing, and the RGB backlit keyboard was a must because I can't see the keys while in a dark room. I don't have any issues with comfort while using the laptop. Also if you encounter a problem with the backlit RGB key board you need to disable it in the Armoury crate app then enable it again. ... show more

So this is my first ever gaming laptop I've decided to buy. I wanted to wait for a full month to see how well it ran when I got it versus the future date, but after having it for one week, I thought I could pitch in a review. I'm not too tech savvy, so I'll only include the generalities of what I like and dislike. Pros: - The screen is VERY high quality! Everything is a lot clearer to see and high definition. - It runs smoothly and connects to the wifi with no issue. Since it has an ethernet port, you can also use that to have even a faster internet connection. - This laptop can run almost ALL the most popular games, as it does at least meet the minimum requirements, and recommend to play it on its lowest settings if needed. - It can play videos with no problem and can put the video's quality at its highest allowed resolution available. Cons: - This thing runs out of battery life QUICK if you're gaming or doing anything that is high demanding, even on battery saver, hence why the overall rating is a 4. - The color resolution seems SLIGHTLY dim. Not dim enough to ruin the experience, but it is definitely noticeable. - In connection to the first point, the fans can get loud if you're gaming or anything else that is taxing to the battery life. - This is more of a personal reference, but I'm not too much of a fan out the keyboard layout. It feels a little too cluttered and not enough space for me to type like I usually do with my old laptop, but of course that's just me having to adapt to its layout. Overall rating: I'd say for its price, it's a very good laptop to use and you can't go wrong with it in both a general and gaming sense. Do keep the battery's life in mind, though. ... show more

It is a solid gaming laptop, and the combination of durability, price, and what it does is exceptional. We bought several laptops at the same time and this one was a bit of a "meh, we can try it ..." I was expecting it be much less durable and lower quality because of the price. I figure they couldn't lie about the other specs. The several laptops that we ordered has similar specs, but everyone preferred this one because of the feel. It was not going to crack or break just carrying it around. Said more clearly - specs are fine, price is decent ... and the big differentiator is durability/feel. I needed a new laptop with a bit more power for some light video editing/graphic design for when I'm away from home. This laptop is fantastic, both in looks and functionality. I tend to not spend a bunch for laptops seeing as a malfunctioning charging port will brick it due to the amount of labor to dismantle and reassemble it. Bought the accidental protection for that very reason. Very happy with the screen, speed and layout.     • Never worked right

When I first got this laptop, everything was great. It ran Stardew Valley and The Sims 4 fine, which are my two main games that I play. Then, NINE DAYS after arrival, it just died. I was in the middle of playing the sims, so I thought maybe it just overheated. Nope. Never got it to come back on. No idea what happened to it. Nothing Amazon or the Asus people told me to do helped revive it. So Amazon agreed to send me a new one out. This one didn't die, but for whatever reason, it absolutely hated the websites I needed for my masters program. It would constantly reload the Microsoft 365 website so I could never actually access anything, would only let me spend about 12 seconds on the school library, and would randomly decide to kick me from other websites. I cleared my cache, cookies, and history I can't tell you how many times. I didn't experience these problems on any other device I logged into. It was so strange. These issues interfered so heavily with me being able to do my school work (the reason I justified buying myself a new laptop!!) That I ended up returning the replacement too. The graphics were great to me, it loaded everything in a timely manner, and I liked the matte screen. But the inherent inability for this thing to *function* had me sending it back and just getting a refund. If you buy this, hopefully you get better luck than I had. ... show more

It is a nice computer to give it to someone important like ur brother or someone part of ur family or even if you thinking on buying for yourself I’ll be worth the price guys. It performs really good on games and storage is really good too
